<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Brian Cook: I'm going to Cabo. One of my boys is having a bachelor party down there. Have fun for a weekend... Probably about 25 (of us). Everybody's friends, so it's gonna be a lot of fun. I've never been down there before, so I'm excited. I usually just go back home to see my mom, my sisters and my friends. This is the first year I ever went anywhere.

I think I'll go fishing for a day. Get out there on the ocean. Relax... Fishing's my second love, to tell you the truth. There's not much to do in the town I'm from, so we'd always go fishing. I think we're all gonna go out on a charter boat on a fishing trip and catch some yellow tail or whatever's out there. I just wanna get a couple bites. Pull something in... And keep my conditioning, you know what I'm saying. You have to start early. Wake up, get our running in. Do the stuff you're responsible for early. And then after that, you're just with the guys, I guess. I'm gonna have to (motivate) myself. I'm a professional about my things... I can pretty much get my running and stuff the beach, you know what I'm saying. I'm gonna take a ball down there. Just keep it in my hands.

Devin Green: I'm going back to my college (Hampton). A couple of my friends, they're seniors now. I told them I was gonna come back and see them play. They play Thursday against our rival school so it worked out perfect. I haven't been back since I graduated. I'm gonna work out with my (school) trainer down there Friday and Saturday. Just stay on point and be ready for the second half of the season... Keep it low key. Come in there. Watch the game. Enjoy myself. Go back and have fun with my friends. I talk to (my college coaches) pretty often. They can't wait for me to come back and talk to the team or whatever. Just kind of encourage them. They're actually in third place in our conference now...

I'll be there until Sunday. I'm gonna come back early so I can catch the (All-Star) game. I wanna see Kobe play.

Chris Mihm: Right now, I'm going back to Austin for a couple days. I have a therapy guy (from UT) there that I'm going to go to and get some work done on my shoulder. Try to go home (in Austin) to see the family a little bit, but more than anything, get some shots up and relax a bit... It's what I've done every season. Usually just to get away from everything. It'll be good to see them.

I haven't been to a movie in the theater in a long time. I've heard Munich was really good. I want to see that. That might be something, catch a couple flicks.

Lamar Odom: Just staying here, getting treatment on my ribs. Some time with my kids. Getting some rest, relaxation... I just want to stay here, stay in the gym. Just shooting the ball. Working on my game, things like that.

Our schedule is hectic. Usually when I come home, (my newborn son and I) sleep at the same time. So I get to stay with him a little bit. Be daddy... Right now he's too young to take out. Just being around him and getting familiar with my baby... Take the (other) kids to school. Pick them up. Those are some of things, being a professional athlete, you miss the little, simple things. Like eating breakfast with the kids... Just being with my family, being in the house.

Smush Parker: I'm gonna spend it with the family and friends and resting up for the second half of the season. A lot of my family's gonna be in Houston and I want to make sure they can get to all the events. I don't think I'm gonna go to any events, but I want to make sure that they have tickets. It's their first time, so just take care of my family... I need to be with my family right now... I'm on the road the last 4 or 5 months, actually five, because I (played) before the season, so I need to see some familiar faces... No workouts. I'm in shape. I'm ready to go full steam ahead into the second half of the season.

Sasha Vujacic: I'll probably take a day or two off and then work on the fundamentals and everything... I'm gonna work on my own and I want to be ready when the next game comes. To be ready and finish the season strong and then the playoffs. I like to work on everything. Defense. Offense. The triangle. Shots. Everything I could possibly work on...

(In the) off time? Sometimes it's nice to put your mind away from basketball for a day or two. To be ready and refreshed. To have a fresh mind and a mindset for the rest of the season. I love movies. I like to go see movies and hopefully, I'll go see Munich. I just saw Pink Panther. I Iike TV shows and my favorite is 24, so I can't wait until Monday. A friend of mine has all of the season Tivo'ed, so I have to go to his house and then catch it on Monday. I'm catching up on 24, definitely.

Von Wafer: I'm just gonna go home to Louisiana. Take some time off and work out a little bit. That's about it. I usually do some jogging in the morning and shooting at night. Just chilling. Eat a lot of seafood down south. Crawfish. It's great. You just boil it and eat the tail.

And should the world have spun backwards on its axis, the league discovered shocking All-Star voting irregularities, or any other bizarre circumstance caused the NBA's leading scorer to have some free time over the weekend...

Kobe Bryant: I'd probably still be down in All-Star Weekend, having meetings with the NBA. Doing some of the things that they want the players to be doing for the NBA. I'd still be down there. You still have responsibilities to the game... Time off? When I retire, I'll wish I didn't have time off. Might as well enjoy it now.</div>

They can do what they want. Even if they trained 24/7 over the weekend, it still won't term the team around. The only thing that can turn it around is some trades.

They better work on their free throws while on the break.

THIS JUST IN: Mitch is making his second attempt at scaling everest, but as any good GM, will be back in time for the second half of the season. Jerry Buss handed him the key's to the team plane and told him to simpy "fill up the tank" before returning it.

As for Jerry, he will spend his "off" time getting to know the Laker girls on a more personal level...

Good to see their working hard.

Hugh Hefner watch out. I don't know, I don't think they should be physically doing some work, but mentally. They should be studying tapes and revising their roles/stratergies etc..

Hopefully Lamar will spend his all-star break shipping his items back to Florida.
