Has anybody noticed that Dwight has took a couple jump shots the last few games. His form looks pretty good Battie must be working with him on it. I think it would be great if he could hit it on a regular basis and it would keep teams honest when playing against him.

Supposedly in HS he could bury 3's all day. I remember reading scouting reports on him saying that he hit like 9 out of 10 shots from just inside the 3 pt line in the workouts. He will be very dangerous if he can develop it in the NBA level. You won't be able to stop him. [IMG] I know Dwight will end up developing his offensive game big time, because he won't stop until he's the best. And even if he makes it to the best, he won't stop there.

It's a double edge sword for these big men developing jump shots too, early in their careers. I'd rather see Howard develop 3 or 4 solid go-to moves in the post, before he starts working on his range. He belongs inside the paint and not outside on the perimeter shooting jumpers.

A lot of the big men who work on their jumpers get lazy and start settling for it instead of taking it to the rack.

Yeah but I don't really see Dwight ever becoming a lazy player. You don't want him to develop his jump shot too late either I think 1 or 2 a night would be okay, I think anything he can add to his game would benifit the Magic.

He should watch tapes of david robinson for inspiration on moves.

Dwight should study some Hakeem Olajuwon tapes. If he had a move half as good as the Dream Shake in the low post, his scoring average would be much higher, and he could draw the double team to kick it out to an open man.

With his age, Dwight's work ethic is unparalleled in this league. I don't think that will ever be a problem.
