<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">NY Post - Isiah Thomas' willingness to part with Jamal Crawford before next week's trading deadline is another admission the players he assembled is not a good fit with Larry Brown. A source said the Magic was one of the teams heavily interested in Crawford when he put his name into the draft out of high school. He later withdrew and attended Michigan for one year before being drafted by Chicago. "[Crawford's] been on their radar," said one league official who has spoken to the Magic. Whether the Knicks obtain Francis or Denver point guard Earl Watson by Thursday's trading deadline, it is likely Crawford will be history as a Knick. Only Eddy Curry and Channing Frye appear safe. Hardaway is the center of virtually all talks and would be part of a three-team trade for Denver's Watson if Kenyon Martin and his bad knees are tossed in. The Knicks are very concerned about Martin's long-term contract because of his health risk. Why else would the Nuggets be so eager to trade him? A source said Thomas is still shopping Hardaway's contract to five teams looking to get under the cap. Portland, Seattle, Orlando, Denver and Minnesota, which also has interest in Stephon Marbury, are in that group. Meanwhile, the Blazers are eager for Hardaway's contract, and Brown wants center Theo Ratliff. But the Knicks need a younger piece in addition, such as Darius Miles. "They're not just trading Hardaway's contract just for Ratliff," a league executive said.</div> http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives...ly_to_be_dealt/
Who are they going to give up for Crawford, maybe that's a opening for Francis to leave. They should have a solid backcourt in a couple of years with Crawford in the lineup.
I hope we do something like this..... Steve Francis, Pat Garrity, Keyon Dooling for Penny, Lee, and Crawford.
i dont know about the knicks right now, i wish we could get a better player like ray ray or someone else.
No way, stay away from Crawford, he's exactly what the Magic do not need. Crawford won't play defense, and his offense is incosistent. A better target for them would be Pietrus from Golden State. He's a lockdown defender and the Warriors don't have the money to keep him. The Magic need to unload Francis for cap space and then pursue an up and coming defensive stopper over the summer.
I hope we don't get Crawford he shoots too much and does not shoot a good fg% and is really inconsistant, no defense he reminds me alot of dooling except Dooling has way better defense and crawford can shoot better (sometimes)
yeah i know, crawford takes a lot more shoots and is also very wild. We need a stable scorer. We dont need a 20ppg scorer just 12-15ppg would be ideal if we want to get dwight into it more. I want to keep francis and maybe trade arroyo for a backup SG with a perimeter shoot.
Why would orlando want Crawford? He's basically like Francis- isolation-type, shoot-first guard who has defensive liabilities and is not particularly fond of passing...I agree that they need a backcourt scorer, but they dont need a volume shooter, they need a scorer who can shoot a decent percentage (43-46%) and get to the foul line...

Make some sense, use logic.

His only problem in Orlando was passing to Declerq under the rim, when he couldn't finish or Steven Hunter under the rim when he steps out of bounds every play.

"Definitely" is how you spell it. T-Mac is EXACTLY what we need right now. Someone who drives, can dish when doubled, and can hit shots. That's it.
this deal is done as of friday from one report. Francis is stayin put, no one addresses our direct needs.
