Nate is being mentioned as a front runner in the dunk comp. but don't you think just becasue he's 5'9" he'll get better scores. If he does a between the legs i bet everyone will freak out, but if j-smoove did that people would probably be not that impressed. I think if he wins it might be unfair to the other contestants. when spudd won he didn't win because of his height, his dunks were just that good.
I think the dunk contest will always favor guards. I think that if Nate comes in and simply does the regualr old 360 dunk and whatnot that he probably wont win. Originality is the only thing that judges really look for at this point. The dunk contest is kinda played out.
Obviously because of his height, if he pulls of a good dunk people will go crazy because he is only 5'9", while the rest of the competitors are 6'5" and over. Is it an unfair advantage? I don't know, but it is definitely an advantage for him... he just has to capitalize on it.

I don't see how it is an advantage. It would be harder for him to dunk. I'm about Nates height, maybe an inch or two taller and I can't do a two hand dunk without the ball in my hands. Not to mention those windminds and 360s and whatnot. It is a lot more impressive for a shorter guy to dunk, but it's a lot harder as well. I don't really think there is a front runner in the dunk contest this year. All we know is that Hakim Warrick is the underdog. I personally think Josh Smith will win even though I'm gonna be rooting for Iggy.

Not really. It's hard for Nate to pull off a lot of dunks that cats like Josh Smith and the rest of them will do.

I think the only "advantage" Nate has going into the dunk contest is the "media darling" angle. It's a nice story that they can run with and play up. David vs Goliath type stuff. IMO, he's not going to win and if he misses any dunks early, the tarnish will be applied heavily, as the media will suddenly turn thier tone to "he's just too small to compete".
It's not really an unfair advantage, in my opinion. Yes, he may be able to do a simpler dunk for a high score, but he also has to jump higher up. You have to take that into account too.
Honestly I'm looking at his height at more of a disadvantage. The man has big hops, and if he were 6'6" he would probably take the contest. Nate Robinson is going to have to be creative before the dunk but if he throws one down the fans will start to go crazy.

I also see his height as a disadvantage because he has to work harder to do all his dunks. I guess you could look at either way but I see it as an advantage that he earned, because of his disadvantage (if that made any sense).
