they play different positions. Anderson battled injuries in the beggining and his defense is valuable for us. i like Fitch a lot but he is young right now.

fitch provides more defensivly than jason williams but he's not ready to run a team IMO. He doesn't run the offense right, he doesn't have a solid shooting touch so his defender always leaves him to double team, and he will make an occasional dumb mistake. In the future he could be better but he's not gonna help us win a title this season.

Shandon is a seasoned vet who is the next best thing to Eddie Jones on this team. We need him if we want to win a championship.

no 3rd string point guard can run the team diffinetly not with the heat jason williams hasnt even ran it right until just recently and jason williams makes the same dumb mistakes like walkin up the court jackin up 3s but thats y ppl love and hate him and i dont think u all need shandon anderson to win a championship no 3rd pg usually even get pt in the playoffs shandon anderson doesnt bring u much he doesnt pass the ball well in his prime when he started 4 the rockets 2 years i believe he averaged more rebounds than assists which is and isnt a bad thing but when ur tournovers r close to ur assists 4 a pg that isnt good unless u all expect him to be ur alls detroits lindsey hunter

Shandon Anderson is arguably our best perimeter defender. Dwyane Wade probably is better, but we don't want him his all-star talent and energy on the defensive end. Shandon Anderson is one of our best players off the bench believe it or not next to Alonzo Mourning, Gary Payton, and Antoine/Posey. I think his minutes he gets are well deserving. Fitch was great from what I saw of him, so he should stick around in case JDub or Payton go down.

While I agree about the part on conserving energy, I'm still waiting for the day he's gonna go up to Riley and demands that he guard the VCs and Kobe's one-on-one. Once he gets to that level where he's always guarding the other team's best perimeter player I think he'll be the best two-way player in the league and would have reached jordan-like status.

Unlike most players on this team, Anderson is a scrappy defender, he loves to get inside his opponents head by holding/pushing/shoving and trying to strip the ball from them. At worst he would've made his opponent take a tough shot with a hand all in their face.

He can keep up with the best perimeter players in the league and was key in shutting down Richard Hamilton the last time we played them.

When we played Detroit and he got on the floor he yelled to the whole team to "not help on Richard Hamilton" and that he would "take care of him by himself". That's the type of attitude this team needs and that's what we're gonna need from everyone on the court to do if we want to play anything resembling championship defense.

I disagree. Shandon Anderson is a solid defender, but very overrated defensively. James Posey is a much better defender than him. Anderson is also an offensively liability, especially shooting the ball. Fitch is a young guy and knowing Riley, unless you're LeBron James, or Dwyane Wade, as a rookie you won't get much time.
