Our linebacker play has been absolutely horrible ever since the 2001 season when Ed McDaniel retired. It seems like no matter who we bring in, no one makes a difference. Henri Crockett, Greg Biekert, EJ Henderson, Roanall Smith, Dontarrious Thomas, Sam Cowart, I could go on forever. No one seems to make a difference. Our linebackers are just getting blown off the ball. It is just so frustrating to watch teams just run the ball down out throats year in and year out. I guess there is one positive to this, I can't remember the last time we were in the top 15 in pass defense.

If your run defense gets bad enough, no one will ever throw and you will be #1 in pass defense. [IMG]

thats a good point. If you give up 500 yards on the ground why would they want to put it up threw the air

It must feel nice to have a good defense huh???

I haven't had that feeling since the dome patrol in '92.

I thought Cowart was an overrated pickup anyways. I also thought that Harris isn't what he was made out to be. EJ Henderson was the guy I thought(common word) that was gonna have a solid season. Still early though.........

Thats why Derrick Johnson at #7 and maybe Mark Clayton at # was it 19 would of been a better pick in my mind.

Screw linebackers...you guys need offensive linemen, just like the Packers do.

9 Sacks of a mobile QB??? Wow...

Vikings Needs, In no particluar order

    1. Consistent RB
Maybe Bennet or maybe Moore. Choose ONE!

    2. Playmaker!!
No Randy Moss!!! Someone needs to step up. Someone to take pressure off of Culpepper.

    3. Offensive Line
    What Happen!!

    4. COACH
    A REAL ONE!

    5. Linebackers
    Someone on defense

    6. A defensive Leader!!

    7. Discipline!

Mobile QBs get sacked more in general. Look at vicks sack per dropback numbers

You are right. Mostly because they don't throw the ball away. They try to run around and make something happen.

Yea I didn't put them in any order of most importance but gotta agree there. They need a new coaching staff.

Coaching staff is #1, offensive line is 2nd. Henderson is starting to look good, and if someone can teach D. Thomas he could be good as well. Both very athletic, just playing on a team without an identity.
