Just a thread to discuss their picks for the Next 10 players after the top 50.

The show is still going on right now so I don't know what the entire list is yet. But I will post it at the end.

Well I always had a feeling that Charles Barkley did not like Kobe Bryant (based on his comments as an analyst). But now I know for SURE.

I am so happy Jason Kidd make it even though it's really an unoffical list. One thing that was bugging me was that Magic didn't pick J-Kidd. How does Magic not pick a guy, that somewhere along the lines is like him. I thought that was weird.

    Just wanted to show this.

Grant Hill should be considered fo this, Iam not being a homer but I mean if a player can average 21,7,6 in his career he has to be a dominate player and respected. Hill is better than most of those players their, but every one looks at his injuries and say no way, well at least i still respect him

Grant Hill was considered but did not get enough points to make the top 10.

I'm really happy that Tim Duncan, Allen Iverson, and Gary Payton got on there. I was pretty surprised Gary Payton wasn't on the original list. I think the biggest snub was Adrian Dantly. I really don't know who I would put him over though, but it just seems wrong leaving him out.

Biggest snubs: Adrian Dantley, Bernard King.

And it is ridiculous how Barkley did not put Kobe among his "Next 10."

That sealed the deal for me... Barkley personally does not like Kobe to the point where he can't even put personal dislike behind him and judge the man by his talents alone.

I'm glad Nique got selected, I felt he should have been a member of the original Top 50.

Charles confirmed he's not a Kobe fan by not voting for him. Too, bad Phil Jackson doesn't have a blog.

Barkley putting Dennis Johnson ahead of Kobe Bryant is ridiculous. Barkley said Bryant didn't have the same "body of work?" What in the world has DJ accomplished in his career that Kobe hasn't?

And it's not like Kobe is a young player. The guy's been in the league for 10 years. He's at least as deserving as Scottie Pippen was when he got into the top 50 in the 90s.

Injuries are part of the game. But hey, at least you can entertain the thought of what 'would have been'. Right?

    THANK YOU!

Every positive attribute that they praised Gary Payton for was an attribute that Kidd had. They kept pointing out that Payton was a good defender and had a lot of triple doubles. Well damn, the only players who will finish their career out with more triple doubles than Jason Kidd will be Oscar Robertson and Magic Johnson, and Kidd could even pass Magic. As for defense, Kidd's a three time All-First Team defender and a four time All-Second team defender.

Reggie Miller only made that list because he's an analyst and friend of the voters. Hell, his sister was even a voter. He had an above average career at best but doesn't have much to show for it. He has no rings, no NBA First Team selections, and only four All-Star appearances. How can you rank a guy whose career accomplishments are three All-NBA Third team selections and four All-Star appearances over a guy with five All-NBA First team selections and seven All-Star appearances?

It seems to me like these guys were very biased in their selections; picking with their heart and not their head. It also seemed like they were confused about what they were even voting for. I guess I'm satisfied with the final ten, but what they had to say about the players, as well as where they ranked them, really pissed me off.

I seriously think Bernard King should have made it. He seriously deserves it.
