I guess it seems clear that this may either be a low scoring game, or a game where the defense scores more than the opposing offense. Jets' third string Brooks Bollinger will get his first start against Anthony Wright who is starting his second game of the season. The Ravens are making this a must-win game.

    Defense
Ravens unlike their passing defense, the Ravens have been doing good when it comes to stopping the run. Curtis Martin who is like Jamal Lewis, is struggling when it comes to the run so expect him to swtich in and out with Derrick Blaylock when things get tight. The Ravens have improved when it comes to screen plays as well. So we may have to defend those plays on short yardage situations. Knowing the Jets' haven't produced in the passing game either, we may have to keep the cornerbacks tight on the recievers and force him to throw deep and expect a huge defensive play. Last but not least, the Ravens have to get the upper hand when it comes to the third down defense. We cannot allow the offense to control the clock.

    Offense
The reason the Ravens have been inconsistant when it comes to the running game was because we were always in a singleback formation. Now with the return of Alan Ricard, we may start using Weak and Strong I-formations. And we don't hesitate to do misdirectino plays to free up space for Jamal to break away from defenders. Also, our linemen may have to give Wright more time when it comes to the passing game. Most of the passes he has thrown was hurried because of too much pressure. And Jonathan Vilma will probably be in most blitz plays. He as well may be stopping the run also. But the main thing is that Rookie Mark Clayton will get some playing time. He will be replacing Clarence Moore (due to some confidence issues). So expect some plays by him and Derrick Mason.

nahhhh I've always liked the Ravens. I am an NFC guy but Ravens are my AFC team. Plus it keeps my cousin happy so I kind of root for them because of him.

ravens need to win this game, and your poll is messed up the backup(ravens) is 0-2, and the thirdstring(Jets) are 1-2

2 questions; 1) I wonder how much sleep Bollinger is getting? & 2) How many carries will Curtis Martun get?

So you are saying since the baltimore defense knows they are going to run, it will be harder for them to stop martin? I see . . .that makes a lot of sense [IMG]

Does the Raven's Defense still have the same intensity it had the previous few seasons? Im not sure but I see them winning this game on the condition they put Slash into the line up!

I think the O line will step it up and even if the ravens know tht Martins getting it they still wontt stop him.

I dont take sides. I am simply pointing out the fact that MM thinks that a team that has struggled to run the ball is now going to be successful because they dont have a passing game vs a defense that has its back against the wall. Yep, great logic

Yes. BF1 is and always been on the side of pure reason & logic until you recall what hard core conservative/Republican he is. LOL.
