I'm keeping my fingers crossed for KG let's hold hands Laker fans! (whoa I can rhyme) (and no not in a gay way)
Garnett has been a Lakers' Plan A or B for some time now after Yao Ming and Amare Stoudemire re-signed. Boston, Seattle, Indiana, Golden State and the Bulls are some of the teams reportedly hanging back just in case Garnett ever came on the trade market. -RealGm.com hmmm... do you guys think there's a chance AGAIN for K.G. to go to the Lakers?
I want him to play for us already. Tired of hearing about the rumors. Im still pissed that the Artest trade did not go thru.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Bobcats:</div><div class="quote_post">You guys have nothing to offer to Minnesota. Period.</div> it's not about who to offer it's about which team is signing who... im pretty sure that Bosh wants to play for L.A. rather than play for toronto
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting dallasdude:</div><div class="quote_post">K-Mart's probably busy packing for new york.</div> Do you have to ruin our fun? Seriously, I agree. I think he's on his way to NY.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Guys..K-mart isn't playing tonight...and he's perfectly healthy...</div> As you guys probably already know, he WAS playing tonight until about six minutes in he hurt his knee and was taken out of the game... He's not going anywhere and this decreases his trade value which could be a good thing if LA does want him. Personally I don't think we should go after him because other than grabbing rebounds (which Odom does) he does nothing but Dunk, and there is no one on this Laker team that could legitimately set him up for lob passes besides maybe walton...

Not quite like he was in New Jersey when he had Jason Kidd, but he'll be a nice fit in L.A., in my opinion. Mihm isn't scaring anyone from coming in the paint, but Martin sure will. He's not afraid to foul the right way either. The only thing you should be worried about is his contract, really. Doesn't exactly follow the '07 plan.
u know what i don?t like in LA is that there is so much talking around possible trades but in the end everything stays the same. That make me really sad coz when i hear of trades concerning i begin 2 image what it would be like to have T-Mac, Pierce or k-Mart in LA *cry*
Nothing happens becuase we have a, to follow JBB guidelines, a CAT for a GM. He can get so close to pulling off deals, but doesn't have the prowess to seal it.
Peter Vecsey is saying Mihm and George to Golden State, Murphy and Fisher to Utah and Boozer to Lakers. He saidcould happen on Thursday. Another rumor someone told me about, don't know how much of it is legit: Lamar for Boozer and Deron Williams.
Lakers Remain Active Heading Into Deadline <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Dime Magazine - Dime Magazine reported on Wednesday night that they have been hearing that the Lakers are making a late push for Kevin Garnett. Any such scenario would likely include Lamar Odom, who has been having a disappointing season, as well as young center Andrew Bynum.</div> <div align="center">Source</div> We've been hearing these rumors all season long and I know what our real chances of landing Garnett are, but we can all dream.. can't we?
Rumors are lookin more and more that Boozer and possibly Deron Williams will be in Laker uni's by tomorrow's deadline.
hey K8B keep us updated...I'm itching to find out xP altho Boozer and Deron is more likely...I'm still going to pray for KG... *prays*
Kevin Garnett to the Lakers Other teams interested: Knicks, Bulls KG has had that forlorn, "Please God, get me out of here" look on his face for about two years now. All of the rumors are that if and when he gets dealt, he wants to go to New York to ball in the NBA's largest market. Can't really blame him, can you? Is there any doubt that if he was in a larger market since he came into the L we'd be talking about KG in the same breath as some of the all-time greats? Garnett would have been everywhere for the last decade. Unfortunately, after the Knicks made the move for Francis, KG to NYC is unlikely. We have been hearing, though, that the Lakers are making a late push for Garnett. And by all accounts they'd be crazy to refuse giving up any of their young talent if they have a legit shot at KG (and if we were Kevin McHale, we'd settle for nothing less than Andrew Bynum and Lamar Odom). Can you image Garnett and Kobe on the same team? They can ... i hope this goes thru
Alright, here is what's going on to my knowledge. The Tracy McGrady "pipedream" isn't dead all the way. A poster I know who has ties within the organization (he's credible, reported the Shaq trade, and other numerous trades throughout the league) is saying that the Knicks are thinking about dealing one of their guards..possibly Francis (the Knicks know about the Odom/Francis/McGrady talks, and are very interested in Odom). It could've been a trade to make a trade for them. As for Utah, my insider is reporting that the Warriors, Lakers, and Jazz are talking about a deal that would send Devean George and Chris Mihm to Golden State, with us getting Carlos Boozer in return. GS would trade Murphy and Fisher and get Mihm and George for some cap relief, and Utah would trade Boozer and take Murphy and Fisher, a veteran guard in which they want. Another deal that Shape told me about was Deron Williams and Boozer for Lamar Odom. Other players the Lakers are supposedly making calls about: Kenyon Martin, Rashard Lewis, Earl Watson, KG, and Flip Murray With the supposed trad with Utah for just Boozer our lineup would be: Smush, Kobe, Lamar, Boozer, Kwame. Smush can give us 10-12 a game, Kobe will get his 33-35 a game, Lamar can easily contribute 10-15 on a consistent basis as a 3rd option, and Boozer should be able to pour in 15-18 from the post with ease. Add Kwame's 5-10, that's solid production. Our bench would be weak though. Also, a lot of us are big Bynum fans, if this deal happens, prepare to see anywhere from 15-25 minutes a game from him.
