As a new fan of basketball and the celts i have noticed alot of things about this ball club. I've noticed that everything that they have done and are doing seems to be a bit mediocre. There coaching staff seems mediocre, half the team is mediocre and as much as i hate to say it the GM is acting farely mediocre. Now i may not know alot about bball, not even living in the us but i can tell u 3 things that make this club not very good. 1. Roster Choices - I realy dont understand why they are giving players like scalabrine and lafreantz so much playing time. If i remember correctly Boston got qyntel woods in the huge 5 team preseason trade. Why did they waive him? The same Qyntel woods is averaging 4 more points and 3 more boards the Scalabrine. Also there not giving valuable time to there young force in Perk and Jeff. 2. Doc Rivers - I believe they should sack him. He is constantly making wrong desicions at clutch times and giving the wrong people the wrong amount of time. 3. Danny Ainge - From what ive heard his meant to be one of the greatest GM's this club has ever had, but from what ive seen im outraged, selling one of the faces of the club in ricky davis, singing scalabrine and giving that huge contract. These things make this team 2 mediocre and should try and change these things now. P.S God scalabrine is ****
Well of course we are mediocre. We are young and inexperienced. Our coaching staff isn't great in recognizing our strengths and trying to improve our youth to the point that they can contribute consistently. Jefferson has an enourmous amount of potential. He just needs game experience to improve. As goes for Perkins, Green, Gomes and West. Ainge has made some god-awful mistakes but he's getting better. He doesn't need to really make any more roster moves with the exeption of signing a free agent or two this off-season. We could also use a new coach. We have a handful of things to fix before we can even think about contending.
Yeah, I don't think we were anything but mediocre last year either, but there we were in the playoffs. This is year is a step back, but I don't expect that it'll be far more affecting than what we see right now. At least some youngsters are starting to come on, that's a plus. Other than that, this injury thing hasn't been helping us out much either, so let's just count our blessings before we go condemning the whole organization (GrnDynasty!), there's a lot more we can expect in another couple years.
Next Year Unfortunately we're probably going to be mediocre next year, too. Maybe a little better than mediocre. This team has a ton of potential, though. A couple more good picks, and some glue guy free agents and we're in business. Although I hesitate to say this, on a good team, Scalabrine might be useful. He's just useless on a bad one.
This team has talent...period...Pierce, West, Jefferson, Sczerbiak...they can all play...the problem with this squad is coaching, or lack thereof...they are managed poorly and struggle with simple basics, particularly defensively...I believe that until Rivers is relieved of his duties, they will never reach their full potential...
