Gasol's put forth a great effort so far. Remember, he's playing with the flu. The All-Star Game doesn't really suit his style of play well either. He's one of the most unselfish players you'll ever find, but in this game you need to be selfish or you won't get any buckets. That's why the MVP's of the All-Star game are usually the guards; they control the ball most of the time so they take the most shots.
Shaq needs to come out with his romote control car shoes on, and play with them on! BTW mods, something needs to be done in the Official Dunk Contest thread.

LeBron hogged his way to the MVP, period! It was all fun and cool stuff, but James just went over the top with dominating the ball.
The NBA loves LeBron way too much. They want to sell him as much as possible. He is not the Next MJ, so why do they treat him like he is. Wade, Chauncey, and T-Mac all deserved it more than the ball hog, fouling Lebron. IMO, I don't think LBJ won the AS MVP It took him 21 field goal attempts to get those 29 pts He only had 2 assists, although I respect the 6 rebounds AI only had 1 pt (Mostly due to Flip Saunders) At halftime, he ended up with 13, whatever other statsitics he had, I have to look up. But even the statsitics, isn't what made him the MVP in my books. What did is that at halftime, the Western Conference had a 17 PT advantage. AI came out at a point in the game and hit a jump shot, and then other guys just started getting involved. And Big Ben, and alot of crucial plays were made off of Allen Iverson's energy. This was a statsitical vote, that I think was not very fair, similar to the Dunk Contest IMO. The Fan-Favorite of the game LBJ won the prize

The past years the West has dominated the All-star game. Shaq is the difference maker. He was robbed of the MVP IMHO. The guys that really impressed me tonight were Tracy McGrady, Dwyane Wade, Shaquille O'Neal, and the entire Pistons squad. I hate the Pistons with a passion, but they were the ones who got us back in the game. Shaq acted like he owned the All-star game. Real funny guy. You can tell this guy was playing for the love of fun and basketball. LeBron on the other hand played for the sole purpose of winning the MVP. He was jacking up shots and comminting stupid turnovers. His defense was horible also and he fouled T-Mac at the end, but of course the refs let "King" James sly by. I'm sorry, but I have a problem giving the MVP to a guy who plays no defense and hogs the ball. That is not how you win basketball games and a reason the Cavs have failed to make the playoffs the past few years. I was rooting for the East btw so don't call me a sore loser.
