[IMG] What a horrible and biassed coach. He put 4 of his underserving Detroit players for way to many minutes. Pierce hardly saw the ball when out there. He put Ben Wallace in for more minutes than Shaq (starter). And Rasheed Wallace had practically the same minutes as Carter (starter). If Prince had been the fifth underserving All Star, fans would have been treated to Detroit vs. West All stars. [IMG]

The Pistons helped them get back in the game.

What you should really be angry about is the horrible choices of starting lineups in the first place.

    Yeah horrible coaching

how dare Flip play the guys who were the most effective on the floor

how dare he try and win the game

how dare he try and make the game interesting by having in players who are willing to play D to play the game close

Maybe his coaching would look better if the players took the game serious for four quarters.

Ben Wallace played 24 minutes. Bosh played 16 minutes.
Ben Wallace had 8 rebounds. Bosh had 8 rebounds.
Ben wallace had 0 points. Bosh had 8 points.

Just my 2cents but i dont think Ben Wallace or Rasheed Wallace should of been in the all star game. I think better choices would of been Dwight Howard and Arenas. Not sure who would come in for the injured J. Oneal, but i'm sure i can find someone more deserving than those 2.

I’m not too sure what to think of Flip Saunders coaching decisions near the end of the game, but I do know that Dwight Howard should have been selected over either Rasheed Wallace or Ben Wallace. Don't come back saying their team is doing better so they should be rewarded with 4 all-stars. The All-Star game should not be made into a team achievement, that’s what the NBA playoffs are for.

You guys are right, maybe Rasheed could have done better, I do agree that Dwight Howard could have took his spot and maybe done better

Let me guess, you are the type of guy who just looks at boxscores and doesn't look at the real picture.

Anyone who thinks Ben Wallace didn't deserve or shouldn't of been in the all-star game needs his head checked.

ben although having a relatively down year, deserve to be on the roster

    rasheed is stretching it...
    hamilton...a bit...although he's having a career year

    That been said
The major reason the east has a come behind because the piston players play defence and they have chemistry

defence and chemistry wins any game
doesn't matter if it's pick up or allstar game

    He barely played Vince!
What's the point of starting him when you won't play him?

Big Ben's double-swat on Pau Gasol pretty much summed up what the Pistons lineup did in that game.

Bosh, like everyone else who wasn't a Piston, didn't play any defense. He got a lot of minutes for a first-time All-Star that isn't a guard. There's nothing to complain about.

    First off,

Shaq had some foul trouble so Big Ben got minutes.
There were only two guys who were centers on the Eastern squad, so they split the minutes, Shaq did get good PT.

The Pistons actually played well on both ends, so I don't think it was bad.
Bosh can't defend centers like Big Ben.

Vince Carter was playing non-existant defense on Tmac, the East actually started to come back once Vince came off the floor.

An All Star appearance isnt supposed to be based on the production of a team, rather the production of individuals. You don't see almost all the starters of Dallas or San Antonio playing in the all star game. You see the distinct few who achieve greater things individually. Its not the team that gets put in the All Star game.

err...how was his coaching horrible when the east won, and the minutes were pretty evenly distributed. it was a good game...why has there always got to be SOMEONE to find something to complain about? and to make it worse...the complaint is completely faulty.

people who are dumb...here are the minutes

    vince had 18
    rip had 13

    bosh had 17
    sheed had 17

    chauncey had 16
    pierce had 15

    shaq had 23
    ben had 24

lebron and wade led the way with 31 mins a piece

at least check your "facts" first, before you go off complaining about something that isnt even correct. you just end up looking like an idiot

he played 18 minutes. more then any reserve guard or forward on the east squad. what more do you want? he got more minutes then chauncey or marion (who i know is on the west) and both had better games then he did. and not by a little bit either...they both had WAAAY better games and were playing much better then vince.

The point that I'm trying to get across is that only Chauncy Billups deserved to play at the all stars. And even he didnt deserve the minutes that he got.
The starting position arnt supposed to get close to or less minutes than the reserves. All the detroit players got either similar or more minutes than the starters. Detroit played for almost the entire 4th quarter!!!!! Flip Saunders was completely biased when distributing the minutes between his players.

Chauncey had 15 points and 7 assists, how can you say he didn't deserve the minutes he was getting?

Please stop posting you are embarrassing yourself.
