<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte guard Raymond Felton was slightly injured in a car accident and his status for the Bobcats' upcoming six-game road trip is unclear, the team said Monday. A team spokesman said Felton was vacationing in Myrtle Beach, S.C., on Sunday when he was rear-ended while stopped at a red light. He suffered whiplash and complained of soreness in his back. The driver of the second car was charged with drunken driving, the Bobcats said in a statement. The Myrtle Beach Police records department said accident reports for Sunday wouldn't be available until Tuesday. A department spokesman didn't immediately return a phone message from The Associated Press. "My friends and I are blessed to escape this accident with only minor injuries, and thankfully I was wearing my seat belt," Felton said in a statement. Felton, the fifth overall pick in the NBA draft, returned to Charlotte and was undergoing further evaluation. The Bobcats play Tuesday night in Denver. In 53 games this season, Felton is averaging 9.4 points and 4.5 assists in 26 minutes.</div> http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2337199
Hopefully Felton gets better soon because he has had a great rookie year. He should take as much time as he needs to get back to 100% so he wont further injure himself, because Charlotte is doing nothing right now.
^I know if it was that would probably ruin his career and I watched this guy through college as my favorite college player last year.
I'm glad Felton only suffered minor injuries, he was really turning it on as of late. Most def. would have been a shame if Felton's career ended early, when will people learn not to drink and drive??
I guess it couldn't have been too serious. Played 34 minutes last night, scored 14 and dropped 11 dimes.
Good thing it wasn't that serious. It's never good when these kind of things happen to young guys with so much talent.
