<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AlleyOop:</div><div class="quote_post">Remember when JRich and Troy were coming up, they started talking stuff in the media about how it would be distracting playing their final year not knowing if they would get their money, how it would mess with the chemistry of the team, and whatnot, and Mullin cashed in with two of the longest, heftiest deals in the league.</div>

I don't think that Murphy's or Jason's deals are the heftiest deals in the league. I believe for the stats that these players put up, that what they are being paid is about right, kind of even good compared to other similar players. Now maybe compared to value to the team, maybe you could debate whether those two contracts are too big or not. I think compared to players like Michael Redd and Boozer or Odom, that those two deals for Murphy and Jason aren't so bad.

But really, with all of the contract doom that we might be coming into, all near bad contracts look much bigger and seem much worse.

But, by the way, I agree with you, Custodian that the Warriors front court is kind of weak up front offensively. Murphy is just not someone who can finish the basketball in the paint against too many players. Tonight he seemed kind of out of it, not totally focused. He got some offensive rebounds near the paint and just didn't seem to have the legs or energy to get the ball back up there for the easy two, rather he passed it out for another three, which on a decent day would have gone in, but tonight were all bricks. I like it though, when they at least get those two involved in the paint, especially Foyle. I remember against the TWolves I believe, Mike Dunleavy found Foyle for some buckets and it just makes everything better that way. I think that should be the strategy for each game.

And speaking of the Princeton offense, that was the offense Mike tried to bring in at the beginning of last year. It just wasn't NBA ready, because it seemed to take too long before a decent shot came around. But that is the offense they should look into, especially with the reserves and especially when the basketball is just bad. With the reserves Zarko, Biedrins, or Diogu can be that post that can dish the ball. Well actually, I just like the Kings' passing. It didn't matter who was on the court for the Kings, it could have been a few high school kids, but with all of those open looks and good ball movement, you just put yourselves in those positions to succeed. Those positions however for the Warriors don't seem to exist, or at least that movement either.

I mean the Warriors maybe don't even need sets or plays, just have some rule that you(the Warriors as a whole) must pass the ball three or four times before you can take a jump shot on a possession, if you can get a paint bucket, then go for it, but yeah, look for more passes like that at least. It's discouraging to see the Kings totally break down and disect the Warriors defense with good passing and open shots, and the on the other end of the court you have the Warriors come up, nobody gets set, there might be one pass and then a perimeter jumper, a brick and back down the other way. It's just bad basketball.

The guys played like they were on the back end of a back-to-back. I read that article saying how hard Monty pushed them. What was he thinking? What an ugly game that was.

The "Murphy is the problem" camp is officially open
