Extremely Sh***y & Poor Network also known as ESPN had this to say about the Houston Rockets.

"Maybe Houston doesn't suck any more or less than 20 other major cities, and maybe the people are friendly and likable, but the fact remains, you would never come here for any reason, other than these three:
    (1) For work.
    (2) To gain weight.
    (3) To get shot."

It seems that Bill Simmons, one of ESPN's hacks, isn't fond of our town

    Charly Rosen

"A miracle healing of Bob Sura would help put some heart into this lily-livered outfit.

Somehow, rescinding that Mike James for Alston trade would be another plus.

Deal the likes of Howard, Swift and Wesley for whatever the market will provide. A case of jock straps. Some used adhesive tape. A bag full of lopsided basketballs. A pound of lottery tickets. Anything. Also, send Van Gundy and his grouchy, baggy-eyed, pouty-face far away. And play Yao and McGrady with the survivors.

Forget about the playoffs for the foreseeable future. The Rockets are lost in space and aren't even worth rescuing."

ESPN is a great network. He's stating the truth about the Rockets. You're saying they're injured and that's why they suck? Well, you're just in denial.

Don't get too, heated about these two writers. They are sensationalist writers looking to get a rise out of people by taking a very controversial side. I find Bill Simmons articles hilarious and he goes after everyone. You just have to find the humor in what he writes.

Charley Rosen has been a long time hack and doesn't have any respect from the basketball community.

No, let me eplain what I said for some of the slower people out their.

    Ex:
Orlando-Sucks (record wise and player wise), because they lack quality players and a bad general manager.

Houston-Sucks (record wise) because ouf quality player injuries.

Writers like this have always cracked me up. One of the only professions where you can like to be a Hater.

The people that print this sh!t is what is sad. Is there nothing better to print than a 5th grade level editorial used only to draw any attention it can squeeze out of the better people that read it and pay it no mind.

Wanted to follow up on my Houston comments from Monday's column. I thought they were pretty tame, but what do I know? For the past two days, I have been getting four types of e-mails from the residents there:

    1. "Right on, I'm glad somebody said it. I don't know why Houston is getting all these sporting events, either."

    2. "Stop playing dumb -- anyone who builds a new area gets an All-Star Game or a Super Bowl. You know how this works."

    3. "You can't judge Houston by downtown Houston, what are you thinking?"

    4. "Don't come back and go (bleep) yourself."

    Let's take those one at a time.</div>

I'm sure that he made up the first two types of e-mails, and got 500 of type 4...

All-Star games should be held in small cities like Foxboro and Baltimore. What'll be there to do?
