<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">SI.com - The Knicks and Magic are close to a deal that would send Steve Francis to New York for a package of players, according to two league sources. Details of the trade were still being worked out, according to one of the sources, who emphasized that it had yet to be completed. The Magic apparently have decided to wait until the last minute before Thursday's trade deadline to see if any better offers come up. If the trade goes through, it would represent yet another high-profile acquisition for Knicks president Isiah Thomas, who already has added Larry Brown, Quentin Richardson, Eddy Curry and Jalen Rose this season alone. The 6-foot-3 Francis has averaged 19.4 points, 6.0 rebounds and 6.4 assists over his seven-year NBA career. He would join Stephon Marbury to form a backcourt with a combined five All-Star appearances. The Knicks apparently are ready to send three players, including two regular members of the rotation, to Orlando in the deal. Neither team's officials will comment on any ongoing trade talks, but it is likely Jamal Crawford and Maurice Taylor would be included. The Magic are in a rebuilding mode, and the 6-5 Crawford is considered an intriguing young talent who would be able to step in and help fill the team's hole at shooting guard. Taylor would likely be included to help make the salaries match Francis' $13.7 million a year. </div> http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/392..._francis_trade/
So far against Cleveland he only played 9:32 minutes at halftime, so I think that's a strong indicator.

I like this trade for the Knicks even though Franchise has a pretty hefty contract these next three seasons. I've realized in pro sports teams need a healthy salary cap to have a contending team.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting MrJ:</div><div class="quote_post"> I'm just reading the box score, so excuse me. Still think he's getting traded, though. </div> The box score shows personal fouls. This trade sucks, too. I guess we just need to get rid of Francis any way we can at this point.
Jamal Crawford I think could be a great player with the right point guard. He hasn't played with any great point guards. He's lightning fast when he goes in the lane. At the same time, Francis brings the Knicks a faster guard than Marbury. Marbury is just a slow streetball type player. Francis actually has some QB'ing skills and he can take it to thehole quicker than Marbury. I think both teams should improve.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Chuck:</div><div class="quote_post">The box score shows personal fouls.</div> Usually coaches wait for the 3rd team foul before they don't play the player for the rest of them.

Francis got two quick fouls in the 1st quarter, so he took a seat on the bench. Don't be a moron.
Francis is a cancer to any team he goes to. I doubt New York will see much productivity out of him. Orlando, on the other hand, is starting from a clean slate and is going to start rebuilding with Dwight and Crawford. This is a great trade for the Magic because they are getting rid of their disease.

If a player getting close to 40 mpg picks up two quick fouls in the first quarter, usually the coach sits him down for the rest of the quarter and then plays him all of the second quarter unless he picks up his third foul. No need for insults; I already said I was just guessing from the box score. I saw he played 9:32 minutes out of a possible 24 minutes with only two fouls.

We are going to get even worse with these 2 ego-maniac ball hoggers in the same back court........plus we now dont have the funds to bring in a talented big man, have to take out chances in the draft AGAIN.
