This feels too good to be true. Getting Colangelo would be bigger than any free agent signing this year (besides Bosh, of course).

Colangelo is probably the first GM in Raps history that is not a moron. He is better than Isiah, Grunwald, and Babcock combined.

He turned around the Suns last season with the Knicks expiring contracts. Now getting Antonio Davis' it should be interesting to see what he does.

That would surely get us some good rep with the rest of the league...but could he possibly become the gm during this season?? Isn't he still under contract?

Colangelo seems like a very good candidate as a GM, he has done a good job with the Suns over the past two years and it would be great if he could take advantage of our situation with cap room this upcoming year.

I think this is a good signing for the raptors. Bryan Colangelo is a top flight executive who is young but also proven. However I imagine the Raps offered him full controle of the organization eg. for him to be able to choose his own scouts, his own coaches and other members of the raptors Brass. For a franchise in need of stability i hope he keeps mitchell on as headcoach,
and from what I understand the elder colangelo and Wayne Embry are pretty tight. Hopefully a situation develops where Colangelo can get the franchise going in the right direction w/out mkaing it looks the raptors are starting all-over again.
