<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Rockets return to action Wednesday when they take on the Los Angeles Clippers Wednesday night at Toyota Center. Tip-off is 7:30 p.m. Los Angeles (30-21) currently sits fifth in the Western Conference playoff race. Houston (22-31) has won seven of its last nine games and sits four and a half games back of the Los Angeles Lakers (26-26), who currently reside in the eighth playoff spot in the West. Wednesday will be the third of four meetings between these two teams this season. The Rockets have won 10 of the last 11 meetings with the Clippers and are currently enjoying a five-game home winning streak against Los Angeles. The Rockets cruised to an easy win last week in L.A., defeating the Clippers 128-97, at Staples Center. Houston set several season bests in that game offensively and were led by Tracy McGrady, who scored 28 points in just 29 minutes of action. McGrady is averaging 28.5 points against the Clippers, which is the fifth best scoring average against L.A. so far this season. McGrady might have positioned himself for another big game against L.A. Wednesday with a strong performance Sunday in the All-Star Game. McGrady scored a game-high 36 points in just 27 minutes of action at Toyota Center. The Clippers are led by All-Star Elton Brand. Brand is the only player in the NBA in the top-10 in both scoring and rebounding this season. Brand scored 12 points and ripped down seven rebounds in 17 minutes of action in the All-Star Game. Brand scored 25 points in his last meeting with the Rockets, but Houston did limit Brand to just 10 points after halftime as the Rockets outscored the Clippers 67-48 over the final 24 minutes of action.</div> Preview Courtesy of rockets.com
Both teams will be desperate for a win. It's tough to count on the Rockets winning ANY game at home, but they should have the advantage. I hope to see Chuck Hayes get significant minutes tonight if Stromile can't play. Oh, and I hope Stromile can't play.
Another blow-out by the Rockets.. If the rumors of what happened to T-Mac are any indication .. this will be a GREAT day for the Rockets .. Gotta feel for our number 1 though. And NO.. the rockets will NOT trade McGrady .. and if they do -- well. Let's not go there yet..

All trades have to be done by Thursday, or is it Friday? Roll the dice on Al Harrington, and/or Lamar Odom!
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> But why? Is it because you want him traded?</div> No, because he sucks. Thought that was kind of obvious, or at least I think this is what Durvasa means.
Sto doesn't suck. This season sucks. Why should he even care about proving himself, when this team has been injured and half-assed all year. I can't give or take credit away from Stro. If we are a good team next year and he still sucks, then trade his ass. but this season has been so bad, that his 1-2 nice dunks a game are almost the highlight of the season. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Mag:</div><div class="quote_post">Another blow-out by the Rockets.. Why do we have to meet up with teams when they desperately need a win (Lakers especially). The Clippers are going to come out VERY hungry. If we lose tonight, our playoff chances go from 15% to 2%.

Stro is so unmotivated that he can't even make use of extra playing time given to him due to the injuries to prove himself. Why should he bother next year? Frankly, if we're to be a good team next year, he won't be a part of it anyways. 12th man on the bench.

Instead, he does his usual try for one game, then slack off the next five routine. Why should he care about proving himself? Because perhaps next year he'll get a bigger role on offense if he shows Van Gundy he's willing to work hard in spite of the situation as well as being able to help out Yao in the low post. Ryan Bowen hustles and at least tries every single night. He can't shoot if his life depended on it, but heck, at least he tries. Swift on the other hand, only tries when he feels like it.

That's all I can say w/out it being spam, advertising, or stealing from another board.. which is NOT cool. As for my prediction .. I sayy. Rockets - 110 Clippers - 98
Man rockets better win.. we need as many wins as we can... we're only 4 1/2 games behind lakers... we can still do it.. we just need victories over teams we know we have a chance at beating.. like clippers.. we beat them last time... rockets need every win from now on if they want to make the playoffs.
alright nice start for the Rockets, but I don't think the Clips wanna lose anymore games.. don't think Stro's playing, which is good for Hayes with 4 points in the second q. T-mac STILL in shooting slump? He made 1/6 shots so far maybe he'll explode in the second half..
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TmacGarnett:</div><div class="quote_post">Tmac just went wild. 9 points in a minute.</div> I was going to complain about T-Mac, but he finally got some shots to go after a slow start. Yao is having as good a first half as you can get. 14 and 10 wth 2 blocks, on a perfect shooting night. I hope he can keep it up in the second half. David Wesley is also having a great half, with 14 points. The Rockets should play the Clippers everyday
good win by the rockets. i feel that if this team can stay healthy, they can make it far into the playoffs, and they will make the playoffs. its also nice to see my man yao have another monster game. hopefully he can continue this.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting tinyballer:</div><div class="quote_post">where's stro?</div> Stromile Swift (ankle) did not play tonight against the Clippers. Swift sprained his ankle last week and remains day-to-day.
