<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">6ABC.com - ESPN is reporting that the 76ers and the Denver Nuggets talked about trading Allen Iverson. They say the Sixers nixed the deal. But ESPN says, the 76ers are still exploring other trades involving A.I. Yesterday, head coach Mo Cheeks was practicing his team - which has a losing record, and is currently clinging to a playoff spot.</div> http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives..._iverson_trade/
The initial offer from Denver was Earl Watson and three expiring contracts for Iverson. The Sixers thought about it, and declined. The trade being discussed right now, last I heard, is Kenyon Martin and Earl Watson for Allen Iverson and Jamal Mashburn. Very good trade for Denver, but not for the Sixers. Either way, I don't expect Allen Iverson to be traded by the deadline. If he's going to be moved, it will probably be during the summer, and possibly by the deadline next year.
Teams will always ask about him and I think the answer will always be "no" unless another superstar is traded.
To bad, I would have loved seeing Melo and AI on the same team. Maybe this summer something will happen.
