Thought I would be up a thread on tonights game. The Sixers look solid so far, up 10 mid way through the 3rd. Iggy has 16 right now, and C-Webb and AI have 22 each. We are shooting 57% right now, and not turning the ball over. We look good so far, but the 4th is our problem. Lets just continue this and come away with the win.
The last couple of minutes of the third quarter was a complete melt down. We let a double digit lead slip away to a mere seven points, Korver had a unforced turnover, and we let the Cavaliers right back into this game. Andre Iguodala had a nice play to get three the hard way taking it to the basket and slamming it down. He still looks like he is on cloud nine, when it comes to confidence, after all star weekend.
Good win by the Sixers tonight, you can tell just by the numbers that Iggy's confidence is as high as ever, he got 24 and 7 tonight. CWebb had 24,14, and 4 according to sportsline, and AI had 30. If you take out AI's shooting the team shot 60%. That will win games almost every time. Nice way to start the 2nd half, we have to keep this up though to make any kind of noise.
Good win for the 76ers tonight, but they have got to stay consistent. We've seen flashes of something special, but then find the 76ers taking one step forward, and two steps backward the next game. Dre had a great game, and his career high in points. I think he is going to have a great second half to the season.
Great win tonight. Very balanced offensive attack, and the ASB really looks like the turning point of Andre's season, and probably his career. He's been saying he is going to be more aggressive, and tonight he showed it. He finished with 25 points on 9-15 shooting. AI had a great game as well, with 29 points and 12 assists. Webber added 24 points and 14 boards. When's the last time we had three players with 24 or more points? Big win, and we have to play well in Milwaukee Friday night. We've lost all three games to them this year, and were up in the fourth in all of them. By the way, Andre's career high is 26 points, not 25.
great game by iggy, and huge props. once again he has shown that he can turn into a great player and can be a building block for the team's future. i just hope he can do this consistently because a trio of AI, AI2, and webber would be a nightmare for most teams. i just hope the team continues as well, and believe it or not, i believe we still have a decent chance of winning the atlantic.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting BigMo763:</div><div class="quote_post"> When's the last time we had three players with 24 or more points? </div> I'm not sure about 24, but the last time the Sixers had three guys score 25 or more was during Allen Iverson's rookie season in which we had Jerry STackhouse, Allen Iverson, and REX WALTERS!!!(lol) net at least 25. Amazing win for the Sixers. It was very interesting to hear on the post game that if the Sixers ever struggled, Mo Cheeks would show them this video to show how they should play. Their offense couldn't of been better, but I'm not too happy about giving up 107 Points. But hey, a win's a win.
