Lakers Outgoing Chris Mihm Devean George Lakers Incoming Carlos Boozer Warriors Incoming Chris Mihm Devean George Warriors Outgoing Troy Murphy Derek Fisher Jazz Incoming Troy Murphy Derek Fisher Jazz Outgoing Carlos Boozer
Wow, you think it is bad for the Lakers? I was thinking the exact opposite. I was thinking it favors LA of course and it was bad for the Warriors. The Lakers get Boozer who is a way better low post player than Mihm and George is a bench player so who cares about him. The Warriors lose a double double guy in Murphy AND Fisher who is scoring double digits consistently from the bench. I would rather have Boozer than Murphy and Mihm...
Up until tonights game, Boozer had been playing shakey in his short season. He seems a bit to fragile IMO, but if this goes through I'll cheer for him anyway. The Lakers would be giving up their most consitent scorer behind Kobe in Mihm and their most reliable bench player who has as of late been playing VERY well in George. Devean knows the triangle better than almost everyone else on the team as well....plus, he's my favorite Laker
two words, hell no! i dont like boozer, never had. the guy can get boards yes, and can score in the paint, yes, but still. this guy has been lazy ever since he got the long term deal, and he cant seem to ever stay healthy! not to mention he will destroy our 07 and 08 plan with his huge contract
I would say this would be an excellent trade for the Lakers, because Boozer gives a consistent scorer besides Kobe and I have a feeling Odom might actually work out as a 3rd scorer on a team. Utah gets the shaft with expensive longterm deals of Derek Fisher and Troy Murphy.
I dont mind this trade. I've hated Chris Mihm ever since he played for Boston. He sucks. I'm a bit hesitant to see George go because he's a pretty good role players.

This can't be real they can't get rid of george and they need a big man. Maybe that will get Bynum so playing time.
Warriors are gonna want to see if Murphy's recent performance indicates a massive improvement. Mihm is okay but hardly a major asset, and Biedrens already is playing quite well,is a low $ 19 yr old 7 footer. Warriors do have issues with the length of Fisher's deal, but he's not a huge $ factor, not enough to buy into a deal with a rival that gives them an advantage.
Lakers: the trade gets an A Boozer is NICE Warriors: B+ - Mihm at least plays hard and George is more athletic, they have kind of a weak frontcourt Jazz: B- - You already have a better version of Troy Murphy. That mna's name is Matt Harpring.

I won't deny that there isn't much difference outside of height, but those four inches mean everything.
I hope this deal goes through I want to see Boozer go somewhere, where he can do something and I think in LA he can, they'll move Kwame to Center and Bynum will get more minutes while Turiaf and Cook will backup Boozer. I really like this deal, I hope it goes through.
yeah, agreed this would be GREAT for L.A I think Boozer and Kobe would make a sick tandem of course like most rumors only a small percent become reality
