Seems like we're gettin younger, there ain't nothing wrong with that. But I liked Derek Anderson, and think he should have been givin a better chance to play on this team. Oh well, let's not dwell on the past. Fitch, from what I know is a gritty guard that can bring some speed to the bench. I have a feelin DA is going to go to the Heat and have a great run (Ex: Mike James). I would have loved to see Jim Jackson back on the Rockets though.

I love this trade by the Rockets. Gerald Fitch is a very confident young player and is an ideal backup point guard for this team. JVG is going to love this kid.

i'm realy annoyed that there wasn't any big trade...i mean cd did a great job trading da.. but i'm suprized he didn't trade swift, howard, or someone else with trade exception... oh well... i guess no one wants swift anymore... should have traded him to nets when we could have.. jvg loves howard, and i do too, since he knows wats good when ppl fight, but its just hes getting old, lost his jumper, shoots alot of hook shots that misses, our pf is very weak, howard, swift, hayes, i want ALL OF THEM TO BE TRADED EXCEPT FOR HAYES.. i'm very disapointed

Gerald Fitch is a good shooter and thats what we need. Good trade.at first i thought we were gonna trade Da and Swift for Kenyon Martin, was there any chance of that happening?

Not that exact trade at the very least. The salaries wouldn't have matched.

Getting Fitch for Anderson is a great move by the Rockets. Anderson wasn't going to get any playing time and Fitch has the versatility to play the point guard. Not to mention the youth we'll be getting from this trade. Fitch and Bogans look to be good pieces for the future of the Rockets.

Bogans,Hayes and Fitch were team mates at Kentucky so it sort of a reunion for them. I hope their familiarity with each other would be an advantage if ever they were fielded at the same time while the rest of the starters rest.

I was gettin ready to come in here and post the same thing when I saw that Fitch was traded to Houston on ESPN.

The Rockets are a team that I may have to start watching due to all these UK players that they keep picking up. [IMG]

I hate it when rockets trade someone that really doesnt do good on our team but when they go to the other teams, they wanna do so good...

Ex: Mike James and Kenny Thomas

but this trade was good bcoz it brought a younger guy in here who is talented.. fitch will give us good mins off the bench and give us some speed.. instead of letting head run the back up we now have fitch... head isnt a good ball handler... newayz fitch will provide energy and good numbers of the bench...

    This trade was good..

Why did the heat only play him 18 games?? Did someone come back from injury? He didn't look too bad on his stats but i never watched him play

His FG% and 3p% is not that impressive to me.

Gary Payton and Jason Williams are ahead of him. He's played quite well when they were injured though, so that'll be good to have someone who can step in and give you big minutes when your starter is injured.

From what I have seen of him on the Heat-Rockets game, he seems very talented, he has speed, versatility and good shooting. He can be a good backup off the bench.

I seen fitch play his whole career in college. He loves to run the floor and shoot from deep. As what ive seen from the rockets that what you all are lookin for. Im just really glad hes gettin a shot, because he wasnt gonna get no playing time under jason williams, gary payton, and shandon anderson. Should bring chemistry to your team havin all 3 kentucky players, who played together on the same team

I dont expect Fitch to make a huge impression...he'll get maybe 6-8 minutes per game as Alston's backup but its obvious DA's trade value wasnt high at all...I'm actually surprised we were able to get a young player out of the deal opposed to just a lone draft pick...

tracy&yao: Juwan Howard's lost his hook and his jumper? C'mon, give the guy some credit, he's playing a lot better than Swift is and he's playing like he's 25 or something. We wouldn't be having this success recently if it wasn't for his play too. He's just gonna be wasted on some other team that won't play him when he's traded.
