Sorry, didn't have time for a preview.

Kobe's pulling moves from everywhere, a nice stutter step that absolutely FROZE Artest.

A nice transition assist to Smush.

A nice crossover, assist to Lamar.

Looks like Kobe's going with the role of playmaker for the 2nd half, and it's working. He's all over the court.

2 points, 3 assists, and 2 rebounds. This could be a big all around game for Kobe

Kings look horrid so far. Lots of dribbling and standing. As well as absent mindedness defense.

Artests shot has been awful...so have the Kings. Looks like the Kings are about to get BLOWN OUT, thanks for showing up and making me look bad...

Maybe Artest is for real this half? 15, 6, and 3 at the half..

Kobe with 18 points, 7 assists, 4 boards, and 2 steals....he could get a triple double tonight.

Kobe is tearing Sac's defense a new one. Good passing overall, worried that they will let this lead slip away.

Artest ain't a Kobe stopper...there isn't one in the league, closest thing is Prince...

31 points, 2 steals, 9 assists, 5 boards, on 12/23 shooting with 7:40 left in the game...

George has been playing like his old self lately, the one we thought could be a quality starter... 13 points, 9 boards

    Final Score
    Lakers: 106
    Kings: 85

Lamar Odom: 9/16 FGs, 19 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists, 1 steal, and 1 blocked shot.

Smush Parker: 3/9 FGs, 7 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists, and 2 steals.

The Black Mamba: 14/27 FGs, 36 points, 10 assists, 6 rebounds, 2 steals, and only 1 turnover.

Devean George: 6/10 FGs, 15 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist, and 3 steals.

Kobe and Lamar combined for 55 points, 19 assists, and only 1 turnover.

Not to be a Kobe homer here, but what people don't realize is Kobe could be getting 7-10 assists every night if his teammates hit their shots like this.

We're making our push for the 5th/6th seed. Tomorrow night is a huge game against the Clippers. Shape, can you cover the preview?

P.S.: HAHA Artest a Kobe stopper?.....where's the evidence...

Kobe made Artest look pretty bad on defense, I saw a few little ankle breakers here and there.

    Dude...Kobe is sexy!

ok I'm done with that...(I obviously meant his game)..anyways if Lamar can keep this play up then we are going to be that 5th or 6th seed an dmaybe make 2nd round in playoffs..who knows with this kind of play.

Now this is the Lakers team that I could get used to.

Lamar Odom made me feel proud to have him on our team, if he keeps playing like this, no one's gonna regret that we didn't get Artest.

The way he takes it to the basket and makes a layup is what only a few players in the NBA can

Now if Odom can be this consistent, then I'd say we'd make the playoffs no doubt. Nice game! Kobe 10 assists to go with 36 pts. Now what critics?

I didnt like Marv Alberts reaction after the dunk. I was gonna be happy with Kevin Harlan's " Oooooh Deaven George! Deaven George just sucked the gravity out of the staples center!" [IMG]

P.S. ODOM! ODOM! ODOM! ODOM! KEEP IT IP ODOM! BIG GAME TOMMOROW... CAN HE KEEP IT UP?[IMG]

If Lamar can keep up that pace of play with that same effort from George the Lakers can upset anybody, especially if they keep it close at the end, Bryant can win it for them.

I think Odom will continue to play extremely well, he is getting lots of positive feedback and that will translate to more positive energy. Good show for LA.

Thank you Lamar Odom. This is the player we've been expecting the last two seasons.

Everyone on the Lakers were feeding off of Kobe last night. Look how efficient he played, when his teammates stepped up. The game plan PJax came up with was the key and his players executed it.

PJax didn't want Kobe to go one on one against Artest. Instead, he wanted Kobe to run off double screens to wear down Artest and create better space. The Lakers delievered by setting some stiff picks on Artest and he got tired before halftime chasing Kobe around.

Devean George also looked great last night off the bench. He was getting it done on the offensive glass and being very disruptive on defense.

I'm still concerned with the guard play and some of the defensive rotations. Someone needs to get on Smush Parker about scouting reports. Everyone in the league knows Mike Bibby loves dribbling left to get his shot off. Yet Parker let him go left every time and got torched as a result.

Brad Miller also made 4 straight shots from the same area of the court. Brian Cook kept double teaming passively, and it created wide open looks for Miller. If you're going to double, then be aggressive about it.

2-0 after the All-Star Break let's keep this going!
