I was under the impression that Flip made a fan of our beloved mod. We know already that he isn't a fan of Ray Ray. First BGJ and now Flip, is Iron Shiek the next to go? Should we see if we can get something in return from the Cavs forum? Do we still have a shot of making the playoffs without him?
Shiek has said on numerous occasions that if Flip were to leave Seattle he would still be a Sonics fan.
I'm not going anywhere, fam. I am very disappointed that things didn't work out w/ Flip but from what I understand Flip was on his way to Denver, the deal didn't work out, and out of respect to Flip Rick decided to move him into a situation that would best help Flip get an opportunity to play himself into a better deal. If that is the case then Rick is better person than most people give general managers credit for. Truly a class act. I think that we are in great position to be good in 2006-2007--especially if we get a top three draft pick. This draft is very poor but we will definitely have some bargaining chips to make moves in the offseason and Rick Sund won't do anything foolish with those moves. I don't think that Wilcox will be in a hurry to get out of Seattle now that he is proving his worth and we all know what Swift and Petro are capable of. I'm excited for the future of Seattle basketball--if we are in fact this Seattle basketball--but I am disappointed that b/c of Ray's leadership a good person in Bob Weiss got fired for an asshole in Bob Hill. I'm not one to bolt ship, fam. Especially when I have some time on my hand to now reestablish myself as a die hard Sonic fan--my team fortunes have also ended prematurely.
