I;ve been really liking our balanced attack since the All-Star break where in one game we had Iggy explode and then in last nights win against Milwaukee we had Korver have his best game of the season. I really like the chemistry we've been having on the offensive end. Our defense still isn't quite where I'd like it to be, but I really think it's coming there. I like the move of adding Kevin Ollie to the starting line-up too. He was amazing on Micheal Redd last night. Very physical.
So far so good, they have been balanced. They have got to stay consistent though, but it seems as if when they are balanced they win.
I think the all star break really helped us win these past two games. It finally made Iguodala wake up and be more aggressive while also giving the other guys some much needed rest. I agree defensively we could be much better, but I think that can be remedied as time goes by.
This team is probably the biggest tease in the league. They will play well for four games in a row, six or seven if your lucky. Then go into a slump that makes you ask yourself, what happened? They have an inability to stay focused for a long period of time. When they find something that works instead of taking that, and making it a foundation to improve upon, they make it into their soul game plan. It becomes their bread and butter something they turn to so many times that other teams figure out what they are doing it, and how to counter it. Cheeks needs to get this team to stay more focused, and come into practice everyday asking what can we do better? Not breaking their arms trying to pat themselves on the back. If they go on a four or five game winning streak it is a given you will see Iverson or Webber on ESPN or TNT talking about how great it is to be winning. It is also a given that right after that the will go on a losing streak where they drop six of their next ten, and find themselves in a position worst than the one they started in. So in other words I still see this team taking one step forward and two back, and until they prove they can play at a high level for a ten game stretch, at the very least, my opinion won’t change.
i agree with BKS. sure, the team is doing good now, and everything is working at all cylinders, but you never know if this is just a fluke or not. as we have seen all season, they will take a step or two forward, and then take five steps back. i just hope they will play like this consistently
This team is a rollercoaster, and I don't like saying something is the turning-point of this season, becaue everytime we say it, we go out the next day and get blown out or lose. We usually always made a nice little push coming out of the ASB under Brown, so I was pretty sure we'd make one this year under Mo... but we'll see if it continues.
People need to stop thinking when the Sixers win a game, it's going to be the turning point of their season.(Celtics triple OT, Spurs victory, T'Wolves) In order to turn a team around, it's going to take more than two games. As to BKS's how they did well for six, seven games, I think he was referring to the stretch when we beat the Grizzlies, T'Wolves,Kings,Magic, and the Knicks. Note that the Grizzlies is the only decent team here. Other than that, we haven't had any consistent winning streaks besides the six in the beginning of the year. I honestly don't think this team is "turned around" until they show us they can beat the Bulls, Mavs, Rockets, Wizards, and Pacers in the next four games. All these teams have embarrased us(except Mavs).
This happens every year. The Sixers tend to do relatively well in the 2nd half. So far so good. Let's see what happens but even though this is only two games you can't help but say that this team may have finally come along. No more trade talks which means everyone is here to stay, other teams are lossing, we moved up in the standings, AI playing team ball but most importantly we are getting the W's in a BALANCED attack. So again, so far so good and this is a improvement. Let's see what happens from here on out.
The last two games have honestly made me wonder how good this team could really be if Iguodala was a consistent thread on the offensive end, and Korver comes off the bench with 12-15 points a night. Well, anyway, we're 2-0 after the ASB. We need to go 16-12 to match last year's record, and obviously better to best the record we had last year. The good news is that we're in the 7th seed right now... so no Detroit. The bad news is we're only 1/2 a game up on Milwaukee.
I`m keeping my hopes up. This team has shown some good energy I haven`t seen in a while too. I want to see a good consistency in Iggy, Korver, and even Hunter. If this teams wants to win games on a consistent basis they`re going to have to step up.

after watching another good game against the bulls i believe that the sixers could turn it around. without webber in the offense, the shots were alot more balanced. igoudala looked really aggressive and showed that he can help lift this team into the playoffs. korver came off the bench and had a good game while scoring 19.another guy who stepped up was Shavlic Randolph. im telling you that kid can play. 8 pts, 13 rebs, and 3 blks. this team really just needs to get tough.
