    How am i being ignorant?

As long as it's still mathematically possible to make the playoffs then is that then not what a this team should be aiming for?

If you think this team is giving up and handing in the towel then you shouldn't be watching anymore Rockets games this season.

We're down but we're not out and you know as well as i do that this team has in the past exceeded all expectations. Have a championship mentality or otherwise quit watching Rockets games.

Being ignorant is one without the necessary knowledge about a specific subject and try to hide their own ignorance by calling other people ignorant... for all those who hope to tank the season in order to get a good rookie is just STUPID.... Just take a minute to think about it. In the history of the NBA, only one rookie (Magic Johnson who helped the Lakers clinched the sixth game of the 1980 NBA final) has ever helped a team win the Finals. I don't see a Magic Johnson in this draft. Besides, rookies usually take a year or two to develop anyway. On the other hand, if we went down fighting to make sure we get into the playoffs, good free-agent veterans will join the Rockets more willingly. It will also probably be better for next year's team chemistry too! All of you who have a defeatish attitude and a losers' mentality, rethink your position or just choose the Knicks as your new favorite team!

Besides, we're only FOUR down in the loss column, people! If T-Mac's back is alright, it's not only mathematically possible, but it's even likely that we'll make it. If the Lakers can beat Detroit, we can surely take care of the San Antonio. If we're able to split the four games with Dallas and San Antonio, we're in good shape. Besides those two teams, we can beat any other team with the right intensity and energy level. Go Rockets!!!!

I was just bein sarcastic about being ignorant. That is why I spelled it ignant.

I have stood by the Rockets this whole season, but that embarrasing loss against Phoenix was too much. Then the 76ers game was the dagger.

I really think we had our chances up until that point. If we go 3-1 with SA and Dallas, I would reconsider.

I got to give it to LA for beating the Pistons the other night, bad news for Rockets.
Kobe was amazing dropping 40 and it just so happened to be a game where Odom decided to show why he's still a pro.

3.5 out there is actually 6 teams playing for the 7 an 8 spot. I dont see NOK running away with anything with their schedule comming up.

22 games left toughest part of schedule the next three weeks. The Rockets will either show they are a legit team or fade away. The TMac injury problems will make a serious difference. Yao is starting to shine under the lights.

Bad news!!! Tracy will be out for another 5 weeks or so. I'm always the optimist, but I don't think we have enough left to make a playoff push. Way too many difficult games remain ahead. Yao needs to be playing at the superhuman level for us to even have a small chance. It's officially over......[IMG]

The Lakers beat the Spurs and moved into the 7th spot! I would say 44 wins would be enough to clinch the 8th seed. This means with 21 games remaining, you need to win 15. Its going to be a tough ask for the Rockets, however if you can stretch this winning steak on, it can be done. I really doubt it though.

The Rockets have a great chance of catching the Hornets if it's going to be any team. The Hornets have tanked since the All-Star break and are losers of 5 straight games.

The next 4 games for the Hornets are against playoff caliber opponents. The Rockets are only 2.5 games back of New Orleans, plus they have one more game against them @ NO/OKL.

The Rockets schedule is also brutal the next two weeks facing both SA and DAL twice before the show down.

This next two weeks will make or break Houston's chances.

Plus they have to worry about the surging Kings. Sacramento's remaining March isn't as tough as Houston or New Orleans.

I'm not worried about the Hornets nearly as much as the Kings. I think we have a decent chance of catching the Hornets, actually. But the Kings are going to end the season well above .500, and the way the Lakers are going so will they. Ultimately, it might take 45 or 46 wins to make it in. It's very unlikely the Rockets can reach that mark, even with McGrady.

this is exactly wat i feared... yao ming getting well... we go on a strong push... then we come up short... i never knew about the t-mac injury... well.. i never was thinking about the rockets losing this early... so i guess we can still get a high draft pick... we should look for trades and signs this season. and hopefuly tracy can get a surgery so he can be fine

So, I am REALLY considering supporting the "Tank and Draft High" argument, even if that means I must wear a pansy sig, avy, and user title for the whole offseason.

But the Rockets still have a shot at the playoffs. We still play the Hornets, and if we were to go on a big win streak, the playoffs are reachable.

And once we get there, you never know. T-Mac would be back, Wesley would too. . But the simple fact that our role-players are not at all the caliber of the other contenders.

    BELIEVE.
