Looking at the bears Schedule, do you think they could end up winning the NFC North? It doesn't seem like that much of a long shot? I bet they will beat vikings in two weeks!!!

it is probably thw worst division in the NFC, if not the whole nfl so it is anybodys and the two teams that you could have said would win in are not doing well and doesn't look like they will so i am hoping the bears cn capitalise!

anyone has a shot so to say one team is better than the other is a huge reach. Right now the Bears are in first because of a tie breaker. I don't think Orton can win it as a rookie starter.

they have a good shot at winning against Cleveland because Bears have a good D, as long as Orton doesnt throw 5 picks they will be good

Ok, first off, please use punctuations (GoChicagoBears), as I have a very hard time understanding your posts. Secondly, you do not have a good o, at all. I feel they are probably the best team in the division, as of now. But that will change, trust me. Did you see how unstoppable Favre was last night? He literally could not be stopped, even by a good secondary in the Panthers. If Driver would have caught that ball they more than likely wouldve won, and then last week they wouldve beaten the Bucs had they not missed an XP. Now, I understand wouldve's and shouldve's make no diff, but they did almost beat both the Bucs and Panthers, both top teams in the NFC. I feel they are gonna develop into a descent team and will make the playoffs. They just need a good running game and a good corner and they'd be a top team in the NFC.

Our Corner play is stedily progressing its the safety play im more concerned about, The running game needs to improve big time, im thinking this is Green's last season in Greenbay, Im not sure if he's declining or if the O-line just can't run block, or if its a little bit of both but whatever it is it needs to be fixed.

Why dont they trade him? They could get a fairly good corner or safety out of him... And Najeh is a very capable RB.

It's a combination of things. The Offensive Line isn't in top form and every NFL team is expecting Green Bay to run first and throw second. They play eight men up and dare Favre to throw. Henderson is a year older and Leach isn't a dominant blocker. When they line up in the U-71 package, teams are doing what Carolina did last night...bringing in a 5th Defensive Lineman.

The other thing is, Green never gets a chance to get going. He runs for tough yards, then they take him out of the game. I don't buy the whole "keep him fresh" theory. They need to leave him in the game for longer periods of time and let him get a rhythm going.

I don't know what the magic solution is, but it's not a simple problem.
Ok, first off, please use punctuations (GoChicagoBears), as I have a very hard time understanding your posts.
I agree nothing worse than bad punctuation.
Secondly, you do not have a good o, at all. I feel they are probably the best team n the division, as of now.
Hmmm, seems like a trend too many commas.
But that will change, trust me.
Yes, definately an overuse of comma.
Did you see how unstoppable Favre was last night? He literally could not be stopped, even by a good secondary in the Panthers.
Well, he was good for 1/2 a game. Who knows he might have made a deal with them that if he got team way behind they would let him run up so stats.
If Driver would have caught that ball they more than likely wouldve won, and then last week they wouldve beaten the Bucs had they not missed an XP.
Well, they didnt.
Now, I understand wouldve's and shouldve's make no diff, but they did almost beat
It is good you realize your point isnt valid
both the Bucs and Panthers, both top teams in the NFC.
Well, the panthers are 2-2. I guess if you make them a top team, then packers are closer to the top.
I feel they are gonna develop into a descent team and will make the playoffs. They just need a good running game and a good corner and they'd be a top team in the NFC.
Yes, they just need that and wins.

Green Bay is far from a top team in the NFC at this moment. The CB's did fine last night. I think that Carroll is getting better and he's doing more playing and less taking.

Favre was hot but again it's going to take a TEAM EFFORT for us to do anything and right now I don't see that. It's sad but true.

Davenport is no Ahman Green. For Davenports size and skill he's playing soft. This year Davenport is playing very Soft. Like Cheese! That shows an amazing offensive line makes a ok RB look Great. Green is a good RB and is fighting for his yards but he's at that age and the poor line play where he's starting to fall off his game.

The defense is playing rather well. Right in the middle of the pack of the league. That was our first 30 point game given up this year and the offense gave it away twice in the first half to setup easy scores for the Panthers.

    1) descent team? Does that mean Chicago is going downhill?

    2) They got Cedric Benson for the running game.

    3) I propose Miami send Sam Madison to the Bears for 2nd rounder in the 06 draft. SM is not the CB he once was, but, is still light years ahead of McQuarters and Azumah.

I gave an opinion on why I don't think they won't and it's a dam good one at that. No one here is counting the Bears out. Most think it'll be hard since only 2 rookie starting QB's have been sucessful in accomplishing what Orton is got ahead of him. Marino and Big Ben. Which Orton isn't. I also never said the Pack were better than the Bears. As far as I am concerned there tied for the worse team in football right now with the Texans. The Bears are tied with all the other 1 win teams for second worse. That includes the entire NFC North.

I HAVE ALSO SAID MANY TIMES THAT I THINK THE VIKINGS WILL WIN THE NORTH. CAN YOU READ THIS. AM I STILL ALONG WITH OTHER PACKER FANS NOT ALLOWED TO TALK BECAUSE WE ARE YET TO WIN.

Quick someone get me the ducktape........ [IMG]

Edit: Actually it's nice to know that my opinion is pissing a Bear fan off so much.

    Thanks!!

The reason why the packers DBs did good is because they triple teamed steve smith. Which leaves RBs and TEs wide open. Al Harris is a good corner, but Caroll still needs to learn not to pass interfenrence

I think he was referring to pack with that comment, bears dont need corner. They dont have mcquarters anymore, and tillman is on SM level

And azumah isn't the starting cornerm nathan vasher is and he has 3 picks so far and another one nullified because of a holding penalty by someone else. They have Thomas Jones who is top ten rushing yards in the league.

The Bears have a solid defense on all fronts. Maybe they could use a LB to help out Urlacher but none the less they are a very solid defensive team.

Offensive wise not so good. Orton is a rookie and he'll make rookie mistakes. See game against the Bengals. You lack playmakers at WR outside of Muhammed. Take Muhammed out of the game by shadowing him all day then Orton will have problems. The running game is solid. Thomas Jones playing like hmmmm Drew Brees last year. Same scienro different positions. The Bears will go as far as their D will take them. Whether it'd be 3-13 or 9-7. Orton is gonna need to stay healthy and just manage the game well. It should be an intresting race. A bad one but intresting none the less.
