McGrady will go against Marion on Monday night so I just wanted to know since mcgradys in a shooting slump do you think we still have a chance to win against phoenix because they might do the same thing that they did last game in phoenix to yao. So its basically gonna be mcgrady vs marion and do you think mcgrady can drop 40-50 pts on marion?
Last game with Phoenix was embarassing.... we tried to run and gun our offense... how can we beat phoenix at their own game??? big mistake, JVG.... use your strengths... slow down the game.... use yao more often..... if we can win this game, we just might be able to make the playoffs afterall.....
Marion won't be on Marion; it'll be more likely Boris Diaw or Raja Bell. Marion will be guarding Howard, maybe even Yao. What the Rockets should do will be to pump the ball inside, although Yao might have trouble against Suns double-teams, again.

If we end up winning. I smell playoffs.
Mcgrady will find his touch back 2day. and yao will be dropping his hooks.. alston and wesley will be hitting the 3's. and howard , head, and hayes, and bogans will post good #'s.. go rockets.. i just hope that all that happens..^^^^^^^^^^
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting dingking:</div><div class="quote_post">T-Mac, 13 points, Marion 30 pts, 18boards. T-MAC off again.</div> wow... Was Marion guarding Tmac that game, I'm guessing he was by Tmac's scoring total. However Yao had a really good game with 27 points 18 rebounds and 5 assists!
What the Rockets need to do is tank the rest of this season.. They need a lottery pick.. JJ Redick would be a perfect fit for this team..
Marion has replaced KG as Mr. do everything on the basketball court. Yes he plays with one of the greatest PG of all time, but that has does nothing for his defense(which he is great at), and rebounding(which he is great at). When Amare comes back......Suns can beat anybody in the playoffs. No, to tanking the season. Should not be an option

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> No, to tanking the season. Should not be an option</div> So you'd want to either barely miss the playoffs and not get a high draft pick or would you like to make the playoffs but get eliminated in four games?
I think we would get eliminated in 6 games. Maybe 5, maybe 7. 6 is a good guess though. I wish NOK lost Chris Paul for the rest of the season, LA lost Kobe (maybe even odom) for the rest of the season, and Memphis lost Gasol for the rest of the season. That would leave the playof door wide open. We lost our star players for most of the season, and if they can still make it to the playoffs without their star players then they deserve it. Houston has T-Mac and Yao...we NEED to be in the playoffs. We would do more damage than just Kobe or Paul. BTW tanks the season...w0000000000000w
tanking the season????? what the hell is wrong with you guys? you have no faith whatsoever.... every season is important... we are so close now, even after everything that has happened.... This is what stories of champions are made up.... we rise up when no one believes in us. I truly believe we will make the playoffs and we'll be the dangerous team that nobody want to face..... have you seen how good we were when yao and tracy play well? All we need is the reemergence of T-Mac..... i really hate it when people talking about tanking the season... that's bunch of bu!!sh1t... Rockets are not quitters.... I'll be looking forward to Game 7 against Dallas......
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AznxBaller:</div><div class="quote_post">So you'd want to either barely miss the playoffs and not get a high draft pick or would you like to make the playoffs but get eliminated in four games?</div> To tank the season would mean sitting TMac and/or Yao. Or obviously putting them on the bench to lose. Why even watch the games? As long as TMac is healthy, this time is important for both he and Yao to really try to get some chemistry going. I still don't think they have scratched the surface of the one two combo they can become especially this year with each missing so many games. Rockets don't need a star out of the draft. We are not looking for franchise player. I have my own opinions on J.J. as a pro, but I'll keep them to myself. No to tanking the season.

We would have to lose something like three or five games the rest of the way. Understand that we have twenty games left. Truth is, we still have yet to prove that we can beat quality teams, and the problem is, our next stretch of games in the second half of the season is one of the hardest in the league. I didn't think about tanking the season before either, but think about it- it would be incredibly hard to get into the playoffs, and when we do, all our players would be so tired out from working hard to get in, then they'll probably have to play either Spurs or Dallas in the first round. More than likely, they'll sweep us or give up one or two games to us since we haven't fared well at all the entire season against them. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> To tank the season would mean sitting TMac and/or Yao. Why even watch the games?</div> In my opinion, I think it would just be more beneficial to giving the two stars less minutes in order to let them rest up and not get injured for next season. McGrady has already been hounded by injuries all season long, so another big one can really put him out of commission. Obviously, they would be getting some to keep them conditioned, but otherwise I don't see the point in playing them around forty minutes a game. However, the purpose would also be to evaluate the players that we have now such as Swift, Howard, Bogans, Hayes, Wesley, and Bowen. It would show how much they're actually worth to the team and it would let the front office know which guys are tradeable options or which guys to just let go in free agency. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Rockets don't need a star out of the draft. We can draft Shelden Williams (great powerforward, works well in half court sets), Ronnie Brewer (nice passer, fast, defensive beast), or Maurice Ager (can complement the stars as another option).
