I'm guessing Nene will command about 8-10 million. Problem is crappy centers like Foyle, Dampier and the like have screwed up the market. Nene can point to their contracts and say that he should get more because he has better stats than they do. The only thing going against him is his injury history, which might scare many teams away.
Not only that, Dampier made his money because in his contract year, he exploded!!!! Nene can't shine, so he will demand less as a result!
I really don't see why we would need Nene, he's more of a PF than C.. Plus his injury problems as of late.. I am surely he'll resign with the Nuggets to be unresticted the following year.. I still believe 6-8 million is way too much for him.

LaMarcus Aldridge ?? Still IMO he's more of a PF than Center. However i specifically haven't seen him play so i don't know if he can play Center, but it would be hard. I'd prefer if Raptors try to get Greg Oden in the 2007 Draft. People compare him to David Robinson, and Bosh to a TD/KG thing.. Well you know what happened with Robinson and Timmy D... haha
Aldrige actually reminds me of Bosh. I wouldn't really consider him, unless we fall in the lottery and he slips down 5 or 6 spots. Colangelo described this year's FA class as weak in his press conference. I hope that means that he won't feel pressured into spending money just for the sake of it. If he can get someone for a reasonable amount of money, he should go for it. But otherwise, this should me a gradual building process. I think PG is going to be the most important position coming into this offseason. Colangelo has traditionally built his team around a strong pointman (Nash, Kidd, Marbury), and he'll probably be evaluating Mike James to see if he's a worthwhile investment.
Yeh I agree w/ chutney, I hope Colangelo won't feel pressure to aquire a big name f.a and overspend. I think he is a savvy GM so if he accomplishes re-signing Bosh and makes a wise offseason trade or FA signing eg. like the Sigining Raja Bell + trading for Boris Diaw this past year, I would call it a successful off-season. Also Hopefully he can do something to get rid of Eric Williams, I don't think he is a cancer or anything but his 4.5 million contract next year is way too much to be paying him.
