If you've seen Suns games over the season, you begin to recognize the swarming defense that they play. Their style is so energetic that it stymies offenses and befuddles defenses. When you've got 5 extremely quick players bouncing all over the court, its extremely hard to defend effectively.

Man i see Yao working hard, but if we wanna beat teams like Suns and Mavs.. we also gotta have t-mac contributing about 30.. yao gets 20+ and 10+ rebs.. he does his part.. and if t-mac does his, we can beat ne team in the league.. if t-mac keep on playing like this and yao working hard, i dont think we can make the playoffs because the rest of our schedule isnt that easy... if we wanna make the playoffs, we must beat the good teams and
t-mac gotta start hitting his stuff and leave his issues off the court..

I believe the Rockets will still make the playoffs, but how far they will get is a big question mark. Will Mcgrady ever return to his former self? We also need more consistency from Wesley, Alston, and Head. The Rockets still have a lot of work to do just to get into playoff contention.

He is too easy to get affected by off-court things. Personal crisis? Ok,why doesn't he just leave and solve them thoroughly. We really dont need a T-MAC who performs like today. He took 18 shots but made one third of them. Bogans can get more points than that if he gets enough minutes. This is not the NO.1 we want. Be professional!

As i said before i am conerned about his issues because if we want to make a serious run at the playoffs this year then something has to change because this is not good for us.

We need more effort not just from T-mac but the rest if team also wears down to easily.

I think Yao is really steppin up and leading the team right now. I'm disappointed in T-Mac and I'm really hoping/thinking he should turn it around soon. I think he might still be bothered by that off court stuff right now, so time can only make it better IMO.

I just hope he can blast a team to get his confidence back up. Maybe a 50 point night or something.

Also a lot of people don't know this, but I live in northern MN even though the Rockets are my favorite team. I'm goin to the Wolves/Rockets game on 3/7 and of course I'll be rockin my T-Mac jersey and reppin the Rockets at the game. I went to one last year and T-Mac had 40 pts and some key buckets for an OT win. Maybe that can be his breakout game even though I'd rather not wait that long....

Man, I think T-Mac is fine. Maybe he doesn't want to make the playoffs this season. Maybe he doesn't want to risk getting another back or even nose injury. His back spasms have been bothering him since his Orlando days, and he was told if they returned again that his bball career would be over.

That may or may not be it, because Yao is dominating lately.

F-it. I said we had a chance at the playoffs before we played PHO the 1st time. Then the Rockets failed. They made up and had almost redeemed themselves if they beat PHO again...but they failed once more. Last season we matched up well against them, but this season we just can't keep up with them.

The Phoenix Suns have no trouble scoring and gettin their points. They score almost at will (not just because of Nash all the time), while the Rockets are a different story. We have to work so hard to get our points at times. We have to set up plays or get in offensive sets, pass-dribble, pass-dribble. Phoenix, one pick and roll and thats 2-3 points.

That frustrates me about the Rockets. We need to acquire 3 more players this off season.

-An athetic backup center that can block shots and rebound. Kind of like Alanzo M.
-A good (spot up) shooter that can also slash in as well. Similar to Kyle Korver and and Michael Redd.
-A third scorer that can handle the ball well, penetrate, and slash in to get an easy bucket or foul called. AKA Rashard Lewis, or Bob Sura.

This off-season. Resign Wesley for cheap, and I think Bogans needs to be resigned. Draft one of the above listed players. Get rid of Barry, Bowen (JVG wont allow it), Lampe, Sura if he is useless, and possibly Motumbo. Trade for/sign the other 2 players we need (mentioned above).

After we accomplish this, I hope we can stay healthy and make a serious push for the championship.

Maybe we should consider playing Gerald Fitch some minutes for guarding the quick point guards like Steve Nash. I don't think Alston can be considered anything more than an average defender, and Head isn't particularly strong either from what I've seen. A lineup with Fitch, Bogans, and Hayes would provide us with the quickness we need defensively to match up with Phoenix. Add McGrady and Yao to the mix, and I think that should work ok.

Does Bowen bring anything to the table that Hayes can't? I can't figure out that one.

Head's really dropped off from the start of the season, probably because of the rookie wall. Nowadays, he's become a chucker, missing most of his shots and barely able to score 5 points in a game. He's also struggled as point guard, which could mean he's not as much of a steal as we all thought he was at the start of the season.

Hopefully with a summer of rest and better conditioning and mental prep, he'll be a better player in his second season.

Well, T-Mac injury/crisis or not, it is funny to see Juwon Howard taking care of Steve Nash. It is funny to see a bunch of players running here and there only to always have 2 man in Suns uniform ready to hit from the 3 point line. And I don't wanna talk on how funny is watching the Rockets on the offensive side. Surely we should talk about how funny is JVG and his king of play. I'm really sick to even watch his face.

    Sorry.
