Great news. Sac loses La up 2 1/2 games. Clips lose..but they still have to lose 2 more games in order for us to start believing we might catch them since they've played 2 games less. If we can win from the Spurs march 30th. I think La can make a serious run @ 6/7 game winning streak ..if we lose..i'm afraid we might be too frustrated.. Spurs have a day off la had 4..let's see who makes the best of it. TONY PARKER IS INJURED! (not to hate on him but helps La chances since he is the one killing us every game)

Everyone who needed to lose, lost last night. Caron Butler did us a favor by leading his team to a victory over the Kings. The Suns got blown out for the 2nd straight game. I'm telling teams have figured out how to beat this team and now the Suns will have to make adjustments. The Grizzlies and Clippers both lost, so now the Lakers need to take care of business tomorrow night and beat the Spurs.

I know we will play the Mavs, but in the long run it will be better for us. I would rather play the Mavs in the first then either the Clippers or Grizzlies in the second round. It's better then playing the Clippers/Grizzlies in the first if we land the sixth spot and then play the Suns in the second round. I firmly believe we can beat the Mavericks. We always seem to play well against them and with our big man producing lately I'm sure Dirk can be contained. An added bonus is that the fifth spot would give Kobe a huge boost in the MVP run, despite the bitch media and haters not voting for him. I'm sure it will persuade the neutral fans to vote Kobe over Nash or Dirk.

So if Dallas doesn't win the division, they drop to the 4th seed eventhough they have a better record than Phoenix or Denver. The only 2 scenarios we face Dallas ... 1) Lakers 8th seed v. Dallas 1st seed 2) Lakers 5th seed v. Dallas 4th seed

Haha, ok now it makes a lot more sense. The Lakers would likely have to go 10-0 or 8-2 at least, to get the 5th seed. I don't really fear any team the Lakers face in the post season. The Lakers team is built for post season success and you can never bet against PJax/Kobe in a 7 game series. The Suns look a lot more vulnerable this past week, with teams finally figuring out, to stop trying to play small ball against them. Power lineups are giving the Suns a lot of problems because Phoenix can't win the rebounding battle anymore. The Lakers matchup well against the Spurs, but I'd like to avoid facing them in round 1. The Spurs know how to turn up their play 10 notches in the post season, and I'm not sure anyone on the Lakers except Kobe is ready for that. Dallas and Denver are two teams the Lakers are capable of beating in a 7 game series. The best case scenario is the Lakers getting the 6th seed. Why? Rnd 1 v. Denver Rnd 2 v. winner of PHX/MEM The Lakers would not have to face SA or DAL until the WCF and hopefully they'll be worn down from playing a tough 7 game series. The Lakers will also have a lot of confidence heading into the WCF after pulling off two upsets.
New Jersey has a 20 point lead on the Grizzlies in the 3rd quarter. The Lakers could gain another .5 game on them and be only 3 games out of the 6th spot.
Tomorrow's game against the Spurs would be huge not only to our confidence, but also in the standings. If we win, we will only be 2 1/2 games back from the Grizzlies.
