Over the course of the off-seoasn BC shoudl do the following:
    1) Get a two-way center that can run the floor(Nene, Magloire)
    2) Get a PG that is an excellant playmaker and gets everyone involved (TJ Ford, Speddy Claxton)
    3) Tell Mike James to take a hike
    4) Get a rugged power forward to surround Bosh and Charlie with(Reggie Evans, Danny Fortson)
    5) Strentgh the bench with the rugged power forward, a defensive center (kelvin Cato), a shooter (rasual Butler), and an explosive scorer (Rodney Carney/Mo Pete).

    6) Sign Bosh to the extension, he'll want to see the moves before he signs and this would be a really good team and a seriosu playoff contendor.

we better not get nene or sign pryzbilla for anything more than 5-6 mil a season (i know that wont be enough to land either)

why do so many of you want so badly a player with 11 and 6 in his first two seasons and then injuries injuries and injuries over the past 3. You're just asking for a disaster signing a guy like Nene after JUST starting to get out from a ton of contracts from old/bad/injured players

    NO NENE!

    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Carcharias:</div><div class="quote_post">Imagine this team

    C - Andrea Bargnani 6'11
    PF - Chris Bosh 6'10
    SF - Charlie Villanueva 6'10
    SG - Peja Stojakovic 6'9
    PG - Mike James 6'2</div>
I think Peja is 6'10, and isn't a very quick defender against SFs, so I'm not sure if it would be good to have him guarding SGs.

I think he is 6'9'' and he can't guard SF either. With the length in the front court you have a lot of possiblities for help D. Toronto with it's core likely WON'T be much of a defensive giant no matter who you get. We are built to score and score we will!

I'd like to see Bargnani play in the middle and be the backbone of a defense................were soft anough as it is.

Isn't Bargnani a real skinny person? Though i haven't seen him play, i doubt he can actually play real defense in the NBA. I'd like to see Toronto trade the pick for proven players..

Yeah, he's only 225 pounds for a seven footer, I've sene footage and he's really talented and could be very dominenet small forward in this leauge or the next Nikoloz Shkitsvilli. He's not what we need at all, I'd liek to see use use the pick for some sort of trade, perhaps trade it to New Orleans for JR smith and their Milwakee pick and then draft Klye Lowery and let MikeJames walk. Ten our back court will be really strong for years to come.

I love Bargnani's game, but it's going take at least a season or two for him to adjust to the NBA game. The problem with Bargnani, is he's a volume shooter, so he's going to need a lot of touches to be effective in the NBA. I'm not sure if he's the right fit, as opposed to just a spot up shooter who can really stretch a defense.

Heres my plan for the 06 off-season to build our team:

Trade: Our pick to New Orleans for JR Smith and their Milwakee pick

    Draft: Kyle Lowry
    James White
    Taquan Dean

Retire: Alvin Williams, use the loophole in the CBA for extended injuries where he still gets paid but his contract comes off our books.

    Sign: Nene Hilario
    Reggie Evans
    Rasual Butler

    Re-sign: Mike James
    Loren Woods

    Waive: Hoffa
    Eric Williams

    Nene-Sow-Woods
    Bosh-Evans-Bonner
    Villanueva-Butler-Graham
    Mo Pete-Smith-Dean/white
    Lowry-Calderon-Mike James(combo guard)

This makes us much better, our first unit gets it's pass-first PG of the future and a solid two way center. Our seocund unit gets much better with a rugged power forward, a shooter, and an exlposive scorer. Mike James is the first guard off the bench filling in at either position, also perhaps Charlie comes off and Mo goes down low. Most of the time at PG is split between Lowry and Calderon. Also the hoffa experiment is over. We get much tougher down low with Reggie Evans and Nene, evans is a prolific rebounder.

Seems to have a game similar to Chris Bosh. Faces his man up. Takes the deep jumper. Beats his opponent off the dribble. Even his frame looks similar.

Yes he does look similar to Bosh's game. And i think a lot of ppl are over hyping Nene, What has he proven besides getting injured a lot?? Doesn't get at it at the boards, probably will look to shoot most of the time in Toronto, barely blocks any shots.. What has he proven ?? I say save the money and go after FA's next season. Who cares if Raps end up being lottery again, 2007 DRAFT looks DEEP.

exactly...i have no clue why everyone's on about Nene. He's a big risk and not exactly what we need.

Do you guys really want to take that risk, and if it fails we'll be back to having a weak frontline AND no cap room
