1.Shawn Marion 2.Carmelo Anthony 3.Tayshaun Prince 4.Andrei Kirilenko 5.Ron Artest LeBron James, Paul Pierce, and Tracy McGrady are not true SF. they can almost play any position in the game. LeBron is a new breed of player. he is like a point forward. He brings the ball upcourt most of the time and operates the offense. Paul Pierce plays like a SG and SF. He is stronger than most SG and faster than most SF so he is always a mismatch. Tracy McGrady is the same as Paul Pierce, but he is taller.
1. Lebron- needs work on his defense, but is probably the best all-around player that's active 2. Marion- good at everything 3. T-Mac- when he is healthy, he has shown that he can dominate 4. Pierce- I always loved to see him play 5. Melo- single-handely carried the Nuggets into the playoffs
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AznxBaller:</div><div class="quote_post">If you have that reasoning, like Durvasa said above, Marion has been playing powerforward the the past two years.</div> Marion is playing PF this year because of various injuries to Amare, Thomas, and others. With Amare back he has gone back to playing SF. Mike D'Antoni promised Matrix that he would play SF this season, but when Stoudemire went down plans changed. With that said Matrix is so versatile, it is difficult to assign him a position.

He was a PF last year and is only playing SF cause Diaw is too good to bench.

The Nuggets have one of the deepest rosters in the league. Yes Carmelo is their go-to guy, but his contribution is no more or less valuable than that of Marcus Camby, or even Andre Miller. Single-handedly my backside.
Top 5 SF's in the NBA 1. T-Mac-all around solid playa has been known to play sf, pg, and pg 2. Paul Pierce- is not reconized as should be scorer, defender, and leader 3. Tayshaun Prince-solid defender shut kobe down in the 2004 NBA Finals 4. Vince Carter- solid scorer and unlike most sf's he can be a playmaker 5. Carmelo- more of a team playa than lebron..he will come alive in a year or two. ***LeBron James- hes a good playa but completely OVERATED***
1. LeBron James 2. Tracy McGrady (not this season, but he will be fabolous again) 3. Paul Pierce 4. Carmelo Anthony 5. Andrei Kirilenko

That's just insane. Tayshaun Prince might be the Pistons' go-to option in the future, but he's far from having an all-star season to say the least. I'd also say Carmelo is having a better season than Vince. I've also gotta say that McGrady can't be listed (i'd take mine off of my list as well) because he's been hampered with his injury all season long.
This thread is about the Top 5 true SF, NOT the Top 5 best SF. Lebron, Tmac, Melo, all great player but true SF? Please! They're more like a guard playing SF because of their size. 1. Ron Artest - has the size and strength to back down any SF, and can play on both end of the floor better than 90% of the league. 2. Shawn Marion - does so many things as a SF, can rebound, block, steal, score, shoot the 3, playing defense, and does all the little things that count the most. 3. AK47 - a quadruple machine 4. Lamar Odom - long, versatile, unselfish player. 5. Bruce Bowen - he's the best role player in the NBA!
