Do Not get too excited about this guy. I know i know he is doing very well but he wont be an all star or anything like that. There are better players in this draft class in future like Paul, Williams, maybe even Webster etc. I feel that we should'nt over-react just yet.

Why shouldn't we get excited? Every non-raptor fan was absolutely killing this pick, and now, they are nowhere to be found. As a starter, in 11 games, CV31 is averaging 16.6 PPG, 7.3 RPG, and 1.2 APG. I think he definitely has all-star potential. If you look at his last 5 games, his averages get even better. 17.4 PPG, 8.6 RPG on 51% shooting, and almost 37% from 3 PT land.

Lol, I'm not so sure about 25/10/5, but he definitely has potential to be a 20/10 player if he gets the minutes and keeps working hard.

You have to absolutely love the guy's potential. He has such a great all around game for a guy his size. I really don't see why he couldn't be a all-star in this league. Saying that doesn't have to take away from anyone else in his draft class.

Charlie pwns ike anyday... Sure Ike has good potential but Charlie has the swagger plus the skills to back it up. Charlie could average 25 and 10 in my opinion.

I'm only concerned with the threes. He's shot a lot considering his average percentage. But then again, most of his looks have been open, its just a matter of getting them down.

What I love about Charlie is that the team literally can shape what type of player he will become. He has such a wide variety of skills, that he could end up as a high-flying wingman to a gritty post player. Very rarely do you see that type of potential on a player that has shown he can already play in the league (its usually in raw, undeveloped "projects").

He is having a better rookie year the CB4 had, even though he is 3 years older than bosh was. This is a very good thing for the raps. Charlie can be a huge compliment to bosh, both big, charlie with a little more range and less of a post presence.

Arent they both 21? But imo he could even be better than Chris, He(CV) has better range, post moves, and is a better passer. If he improves on his D he could be as good chris is right now in his 3rd year.

people saying CV is or can be soon better than Bosh are crazy. CV is very good but dont forget he's playing with minimal defencive attention. The defense is keying on Bosh and Mike James and CV is getting tons of open looks. CVis very good and will continue to improve i'm sure. It was a great pickup by Babcock but he's no Chris Bosh at the moment. And i'm not sure he ever will be considering their both the same age.

CV is the 2nd best rookie though, other than Paul no one's as good and i doubt anyone from that class will be ever.

I disagree. Apart from Paul, I think Channing Frye is going to be a great player someday, similar to Bosh.

2005 was a very deep draft. I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss the rest of those players. Especially Marvin Williams.

I think Chris Paul, Charlie V and granger were the only players in the 05 Draft who have all-star potential.
Charlie is absolutely tearing it this year. Everyone thought he would be a 5/4/1 player, but he's proving everyone wrong

No love for Marvin Williams, Martell Webster, or Andrew Bynum? I think Williams could easily be an All-Star in the future, same with Bynum and Webster, once they get more experience and playing time.

Fever said offensively Charlie is better than Chris.

Paul Jones, Eric Smith, and Jack Armstrong were discussing that on their radio show.

I would agree. The point is that offensively, Charlie has more skill down low, is able to hit from anywhere on the court, including from beyond 3. Numbers don't lie, Big Smooth has a higher career high than Bosh.

No denying, Bosh is a better player, but the game is more than just scoring.

My prediction is that in 3 years, Bosh WILL STILL BE the best player on the Raps, and the leader, but not the scoring leader.

How can you not get excited after a 48pt performance? Has any rookie done that yet?
