<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AnimeFANatic:</div><div class="quote_post">Very important game as it can push the lakers down one and the warriors up one.</div> I got this strategy from a fellow fan. He thinks .500 will get the Warriors to the playoffs. That's 16 - 9 the rest of the way starting tonight. The skull and cross bones are the tough games we have to win.
16-9? Not impossible, but improbable with the way the Warriors are playing. We better hope Baron comes back soon.
Why the hell is the crowd cheering for the Lakers and Warriors? It's like not even a road game for the Lakers.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting vcwannabe15:</div><div class="quote_post">Why the hell is the crowd cheering for the Lakers and Warriors? It's like not even a road game for the Lakers.</div> Yeah, that really pisses me off when I go to games where half the crowd are there for the other team.
I hate being down by 10 and always trying to come back. We get close or tie the game and then keep catching up and falling back until it's over. Oh yeah. Get Foyle out of there!!! WTF.
Observations thus far: -The Warriors don't know how to read the other team getting back on D -They don't value posessions. -They don't run plays that will help them move the ball more (inside outside ball movement which helps gives you better looks at the basket) -Guys just have to knock down shots from the outside when they're wide open Warriors give up so many high % fgs, while taking too many low % fg's. Nothing new in warrior land. The foul discrepancy is ridiculous. Also did I mention how impatient the Warriors are? They just don't play with any common sense either.
Why doesn't/didn't Mullin do anything? PHX got Tim Thomas today to replace Kurt Thomas. It can't be he's watching a different team than we're watching!
Warriors even got inside position on some of these guys and they still can't get the rebound or score. Unbelievable. They'd just rather cast away long shots that miss and lead to transition scores for the Lakers. This is just horrible basketball. If the players are tuning out or they just don't know, the Warriors do not deserve to win. Good players listen to what's going on and they know. They don't need to be told or sassed back and ignored.
Agreed CR2, horrible execution. Its hilarious how the LAKERS are now complaining about the referees, they ought to give them half of their salaries for tonights game. This loss really sets us back, it seems like pretty much all hope of getting into the playoffs are now lost, before at least we had an outside shot at it.

If the fans are frustrated, just imagine the coaches telling these guys what they need to do and the few players on this roster that actually get it done on both ends of the floor and how they feel.

None of the veterans on our team are punished in any way for repeatedly making the same mistakes and making bonehead decisions. It seems like Dunleavy, Fisher, Murphy, and Baron can do whatever they want and they'll continue to get playing time but guys like Pietrus and Ike make one mistake and they'll be lucky to see the floor the rest of the night. Even in the list of observations you mentioned there are some things there that are coaching problems. Theres just no discipline at all and without that the players will do whatever they want knowing that there won't be any consequences (other than losing).

I mean it sometimes seems that the Warriors think there is only ten seconds on the shot clock. They play like a ten second offense which usually ends up in a long jumper, starting with Jason(13 3 point attempted shots in tonight's game) which sprouts to Murphy a few times and then Pietrus and then Fisher, and soon it's the whole team. Just catch and shoot before 13 seconds go off the clock. I try to see how many seconds are left on the shot clock when the team shoots and so many times, especially in big long stretches there are 12-17 seconds left on the clock when the Warriors put up shots without making any effort to get easier shots or get anything going to break down the opposing defense. It's terrible to watch. When the team is knocking down their shots, maybe like against the Magic or for some quarters in any given game, but for a foul 4 quarter game against some solid teams, it just doesn't seem to work, in my opinion at least. The whole Warrior front court was pretty much taken out of the game by fouls, and fouls could be a totally different issue/topic in itself after this game.
Venting now . Screw the Warriors. I was blaming this season mostly on Baron, but it's MULLIN. Mullin hasn't done squat since last summer. He hired Monty who isn't a good fit for this team and is a college coach, not an NBA coach. Next, Mullin signs players who don't deserve it and overpays them. The team goes over the cap and end up with three untradeable players. To top it off, he keeps saying this team will develop. The team is getting worse, not better. Warriors are the worse run team in the NBA!!!
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting vcwannabe15:</div><div class="quote_post">Yeah it's all damn Mullin's fault!! </div> It's gotta be. Every single player and coach was a result of Mullin.
Mullin got Baron and that was a sweet move. He signed a few terrible contracts, but he doesn't deserve the blame IMO. Now, if He keeps Fisher and Foyle as an integral part of the team for years and years and years to come, well,.... No, the Warriors have a tone of talent, thanks to Mullin. They just are playing like Sh!t. So, why is that? Sure they need a big center, but at the same time surely they have the talent to beat the Lakers. So why do they get smoked? For whatever reason, they're not playing up to their potential. It's not like Mullin signed Bill Curley, Adam Keefe, Vonteego Cummings and Antawn Jamison to long deals. He's got good players, but for whatever reason they look like crap.
