Great win by the Lakers. They played a good first quarter and absolutely handed it to Detroit in the third after Detroit threatened to take the game away from them! Great game by Lamar and Mihm and Kwame with the 11 rebounds really helped. Of course Kobe was Kobe.
WHOA!!! Didn't see that one coming! What a freakin' game, loved every second of it. I love all-around team performances like that. The explosive dunk by Smush, the 3-pointer by Lamar, the rebounds by Kwame, the cut to the basket by Cook, D-George's plays, and of course my main man Kobe. I'll tell you one thing, by making Kwame come off the bench, I have been loving this guy. Even against the Warriors, he was playing great defense, making the extra effort for rebounds, I'm really happy with him right now. I hope Lamar can always come through like this for us, he was playing amazing. Now let's take out the champs on Monday and prove the win against Detroit wasn't a fluke!
I can bet you my ass that Lamar will only have a few more games like this this season. In the other ones, he will stink. Don't get your hopes up
Holy sh*t! Did the Lakers just beat the pistons by 11??? I unfortunately cant watch the game, and my roommate is watchin a movie so I'm gonna have to wait til later to watch the high lights on sportscenter, if they are even on at that time. Anyhow, what is this I hear about a 18-0 run???? On Detroit??? I was having a crappy day but this def. helps
This was the huge game the Lakers needed to prepare for this tough stretch. I liked the class both teams shared after the game, with the Pistons congratulating the Laker players on the win. The defense was solid in the 2nd half, and everyone was making the proper rotations. Sheed went ice cold after a 6-6 start, and Billups only scored 4 points in the 2nd half. Kwame Brown led the Lakers with 12 rebounds, exactly what the Lakers need from him. Lamar Odom played flawlessly with 24 points, 10 assists, and ZERO turnovers. Very efficient night by Odom, when the Lakers needed him to come up big. And then of course Kobe Bryant, scoring 40 points on just 26 shots. Never would have expected the Lakers beating Detroit, especially in a back to back game. High five all around Laker fans!
People have called me crazy, but this proves that if the Lakers play to their full potential, they can beat anybody. Odom was amazing tonight, God man why can't he play like that every damn night? Kwame was monsterous off of the bench with 12 boards, if he can come in and give us 8-12 boards a night, he's worth his contract because he will get you between 5-10 points a night, as well. What a way to start this tough stretch of games, I'm hoping this momentum can carry over in the game against San Antonio, but I'm more concerned with the game against the Hornets. That's a HUGE game for us, and we're on the road. We need to go in there and steal that victory.
This is the best of this particular Lakers squad. Momentum was oozing on LA's bench. The fans got involved, and the Lakers stayed sharp on offense and defense. Not too many silly mistakes I noticed, this was a fabulous win. Most impressive all year IMO.
I cant believe this. How are the Pistons going to choke against the Lakers. They couldnt just handle business and get the Kings within 1 game, Ohhhhhh noooooo. The Spurs better DAMN WELL come to play. I get to see UNC beat duke but then i have to see this crap. Life sucks...

What I like this time was that all the players who were hot STAYED in the game...Phil didn't sit the people who were on fire this time like he normally does..what a great concept!....anyways we won the boards by 14...that is sick against the Pistons..
Man oh man I did not expect this win at all. I was very impressed by Lakers effort and energy on the court. The only person I would say didn't play well was Vujacic, other than that everyone did their job. They actually played as a team when Kobe was off the court. Another spectacular game by Kobe of course. He's amazing. AND hopefully we keep seeing Odom playing more consistently. He had a great performance with 24 and 10. Thank you Lakers!! for making my day
