dude??? dont you notice that for the past 4 out of maybe 6 games lamar's been playing great [IMG]

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting bigballer111:</div><div class="quote_post">Man oh man I did not expect this win at all. I was very impressed by Lakers effort and energy on the court. The only person I would say didn't play well was Vujacic, other than that everyone did their job. They actually played as a team when Kobe was off the court. Another spectacular game by Kobe of course. He's amazing. AND hopefully we keep seeing Odom playing more consistently. He had a great performance with 24 and 10. Thank you Lakers!! for making my day [IMG]</div>

dude vujacic had like 4 assists!

Lamar stepped up big time. We outrebounded them 44-30, we shot well, we nearly hit all of our FT's. This all came with Kobe missing 12 minutes of action. It proves that when we get everything right, we can be a tough team to beat. This is a huge win and hopefully it can push us to win one of the Spurs games and also push us on a little 4-5 game winning streak. The pressure on the Jazz, Kings, Hornets and Grizzlies has just stepped up.

Kwame had 12 rebounds. He only had a couple of points but his role was purely D, something I heard he done well.

Only if Odom could play like that consistently. Him and Kobe could make a hell of a duo, but the keyword is COULD. All he needs to do is stay focused, and play hard every night, because he has all the talent in the world.

And did you notice that for the 45 of the 54 other games, he played bad? The Lakers need Odom to be good and consitent every game, which is something I am beginning to believe that he can't do.

As I said earlier in the season, you have to make up your minds. If he has one or two good games, everyone is like "OMG! let's never trade Odom, he is perfect besides Kobe", while he has bad games, everyone starts discussing trades involving him.

    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting illmatic:</div><div class="quote_post">WHOA!!! Didn't see that one coming!

What a freakin' game, loved every second of it.

I love all-around team performances like that. The explosive dunk by Smush, the 3-pointer by Lamar, the rebounds by Kwame, the cut to the basket by Cook, D-George's plays, and of course my main man Kobe.

I'll tell you one thing, by making Kwame come off the bench, I have been loving this guy. Even against the Warriors, he was playing great defense, making the extra effort for rebounds, I'm really happy with him right now.

I hope Lamar can always come through like this for us, he was playing amazing.

Now let's take out the champs on Monday and prove the win against Detroit wasn't a fluke!</div>

    It was a fluke.

Great post. I don't see how scoring over a hundred points can be classed as fluke. Are you saying scoring around 50 baskets was fluke?

^ Im pretty sure nobody expected the lakers to score 100+ against the Pistons nor did anyone expect the lakers to win by double digits. Those are two pretty flukey qualities if you ask me. LA definitely played well though,as well as Odom. LA dominating Detroit IS a fluke though...

There is no such thing as a flukey victory. They are a better team but we played better on the night. Its not fluke at all. Thats like saying everytime Detroit get beaten its fluke unless its the Spurs, Suns or Heat.

    "fluke" noun ( P ) (flk)
    A stroke of good luck.
    A chance occurrence; an accident.

The Pistons showed up half asleep and the Lakers were somewhat in the zone on the same night. That would fit definitions 1 and 2.

    Stay in school fool.

I really dont care about your comments about it being a fluke because you obviously don't support the Lakers, but the Pistons were being outplayed by the Lakers in the first half as well. The Lakers were up by 7 or 8 a few points in the first half. It's not like the Pistons just fell asleep in the 2nd half, it was consistent throughout the game. You believe it was a fluke, we see it as a good victory and shows what this team is capable of. We all have our own opinions.

lol. It was a good win, they lost to the spurs (respectibly if that's possible) and they just beat the hornets to draw into a tie for the 7th seed. Things are going ok [IMG]

Fluke or not, I think it was the biggest win for the Lakers in the post-Shaq era. I hope there's another fluke performance on Friday, too. [IMG]
