    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Locke:</div><div class="quote_post">
Let's not think TMac has that much influence at this stage. If Yao said something, maybe the Rockets may seem compelled to act, but McGrady had just played the worst basketball of his career in a Rockets uniform and he might even be traded this summer. Why would Dawson listen to anything TMac has to say? Francis and Mobley were franchise players in 2002 and they wanted the number one pick traded for veterans, but Dawson still drafted Yao. If Carney does end up a Rocket, it'll be because of his skillset and workouts, not TMac's input.</div>

    I'm not crazy lol

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">What are you talking about T-Mac might be traded? Sure he played pretty bad and all but he was also injured. when he was most healthy he played pretty good. If anything I would expect Yao to want him kept around, because with him healthy the Rockets won 51 games! how long had it been since that happened? I think trading T-Mac for anything short of LeBron James is dumb.</div>
He's just saying how McGrady has had a history of being injury prone and this isn't his first injury. Back spasms is a chronic thing so they'll keep coming back.

The thing i don't get is tmac's spasms flair up one year and a lot of people start saying lets trade him. (I've read it on countless boards on the internet)

He had it in Orlando and he had it last year. He just didn't get effected by it. why would u want to trade a guy that gave u 30+ in playoffs last year and 24+ in the regular season with the back spasms. Are you saying that they somehow did not bother him last year because they are chronic. If tmac scored that much and was so valuable to our team last year WITH this back spasms that were obviously less severe, why would u trade him?

Tmac now knows yao can handle the post and yao has so much confidence. Tmac wont have to drive in and take those big shots and plus that last injury he landed on his tail bone with sparked back spasms. They didn't just happen like earlier in the season.

I don't know. I just really hope that T-Mac can play like he did in the playoffs last year or the reg season last year. I think he was truly remarkable and I hope he can get back to that without the outside issues or the heath concerns. I really missed him playing this year

Hey did we already guarantee Carney something read this http://www.draftexpress.com/headlines.php#1957
go down a few articles and you will see. It says he's living in mcgrady's house with mcgrady and chance. He is working out with them. Agent says he knowes Carney will go in top 10. ALso saying he won't workout for many teams? Did rockets already guarantee him something?

I gaurantee you if Rudy Gay falls to our pick then we will pick him over Carney

Obviously we will take rudy gay if that happens but what are the chances of a player with the talents like rudy gay fall to us? Rudy Gay is one of the most talented players physically to come out. In his first year i am betting he will be able to produce as much as Tayshaun Produces now thats how high i think his game could be and i believe he oculd also be our shut down perimeter defender like tayshaun prince. If Gay is there definetly draft him. We'd have to deadly perimeter players on one team.

The farthest ive seen Gay fall is pick #7

but who knows how he does at workouts...hopefully teams can do what they did with Gerald Green last year.

To completely differnt drafts though that draft was a draft loaded with same kind of talent from the first pick to the 30th with second rounders that would go first round in this years draft but getting rudy gay would be awesome. He can be our shut down guy like what prince is for detroit. he is like an alot more atheletic prince with better jump shot and offence. I don't see him having any knocks when he enters our system. He has a good work ethic reporetedly comming earlier and staying later to work on his jump shot in practice.

On the radio, Van Gundy said they plan on drafting the best player availabe. Also, don't expect them to be more than a rotational player next year, as opposed to a starter. He wouldn't give a preference as far as getting a 2 or 4.

Well I still think they will draft an atheltic 2 gaurd mostly because this draft is filled with them and by the time the 8th pick rolls around Carney will be the best playera available.

I also think he said that to not limit Rockets options and to get as many top 10 picks for workouts as possible.

I want him or Daniel Gibson in the second round. Then we can use our MLE on a back up PF or even a starting PF.

You look at the Mavs guards. Multiple guys that can post, drive, shoot defend and jump. That is the goal for the Rockets.

    R.Gay
    R.Carney
    R.Roby
    Shawne Williams

And it just came to me how I have been overlooking Shawne Williams. he would be a great fit too. Rockets need a perimeter defender that can make plays on both ends.

In that order. I've changed that alot though.
If the Rockets dont get 1-3 forget about the top 2.

I just don't see 7 teams passing on R.Gay or R.Carney. They are the top athletes in the draft that won't slip down much.

AS for the 2nd Round. What about Brandon Bowman from G'Town 6'8 SF. Shot better from 3pt last year when he took a whole lot more. Another quick athletic perimeter guy

Anybody believe Andrea Bargnani is the next Dirk?
I've never seen his game. But it will probably take time to develop him.

Rockets have a 2 to 3 year window to win a championship with Yao and TMac. Them two playing together is the best chance Rockets have had in a while and hope to see them get one together.

Hey i don't beleive Shawne williams has the quickness like rudy gay to be a shut down defender like Prince at the next level. I believe that Bargini will be a lot like Dirk and could even be him. His outside jumper is sweet has a developing post game i not sure if his ball handling is as good as dirk though but he seems to have most other places in place and plus he getting major minutes on the best team in itallian league in the senior team something dirk himself failed to do.

The chance of 7 teams passing up rudy Gay is unlikely but Rodney Carney is a strong possibility.

The current draft order is as follows for top 10:

    1) Lamarcus Aldridge
    2) Tyrus Thomas
    3) Adam Morrison
    4) Bargani
    5) Randy Foye or Rudy Gay
    6) Rudy gay or Randy Foye
    7)Brandon Roy
    8) Rodney Carney
    9) Marcus Williams
    10) Shelden Williams

According to Hoopshype, we're working out Steve Novak on Wednesday. For those of you that don't know him, he's a long range bomber from three, and thats pretty much strictly what he is.
