I think we should try to trade up for Rudy Gay because he is showing what kind of a player he really is. Plus he is showing great cutting and getting open ability and shooting the three well as well as being a great defender. He just has poor ball handling skill something we can reli on Alston to do. Plus if we bulk him up this summer sometimes he can play the tweener four when we need four atheletic guards on the floor to spread it or four shooters he'd fit. I feel he is atheletic enough to play like marion at times but my question is if he is strong enough. What do you think?

His more natural position is the 2 gaurd. People deny the fact that Rudy Gay will not fall to #8, but it is a mediocre possibility. Toronto- More interested in a point gaurd(marcus williams) and Brandon Roy They are probably trading down anyways. Maybe we could be suitors. Chicago- Stacked at SF Charlotte- Need scoring more than they do defense. Morrison or Roy will got if both still available over Gay. Portland- If Brandon Roy is still available then he will be picked other than that...One of the big PFs in this draft will be drafted. Atlanta- stacked at the SF...they have to many holes to fix Minnesota- I hear they are trading down, but this is the only team i see taking Rudy Gay before we do. Boston- To many SF... Szerbiak, Ryan Gomes, Gerald Green Houston- we need help mainly at the SG position.
Yah but rudy gay has the athletic abilities to defend the twos the only reason t-mac playing the three is cuz he doesn't want him chasing twos like hamilton around. I think Gay will have no problem guarding this guys.
Did anyone know PJ rucker is going to be available in the second round. He is 5'5 and averages rebounds in the 9s. He averaged 13 as a high school player. He scores around 15 a game. He might not be a scoring threat in the NBA but he could be a solid rebounder for a gaurd.
I know all mocks says he is going to be in the second round but i have a feeling a team is going to see artest in him and take him with a first round pick.
Andrea Bargani We can get the international basketball player Andrea Bargani who can shoot, and some compare him to nowitzki. I think he wont be as good as nowitzki but he will be a good addition. If the rockets can get him (rare), then we fill up our power foward spot because then we can take juwan howard to the bench and swift backing him up. Its all good. Toronto hasn't mentioned the slightest hint of interest in Thomas. They're mainly looking at point guards, but will most likely either pick Bargnani or trade their pick. Bryan Colangelo has had nothing but good things to say about Bargnani and if it's not a smokescreen, Bargnani would be gone at first. Portland also won't pick Marcus Williams. Sebastian Telfair, Steve Blake and Jarrett Jack isn't enough at point guard for you?
The players toronto are considering are aldridge for ability to play center barginni for versatility marcus williams and brandon roy for possible pg solution. AN explosive Pf is not one because they already have CV3 and CB4 we would need to move up to get him. Right now i am just hoping gay could fall to us. I believe andrea has the potential to be just like dirk nowizki but so many like him had potential and just don't fulfill it i think at the very least he will be a solid nba pf.

The thing is though charlotte cannot afford to take another big man right now they lack a playmaker on the wing and adam morrison seems like a leader a great character guy they could keep building around. So i could see them taking him but aldridge is possible too but what do they do with sean may then?
Bench him...Aldridge is to good to even be at the #4 spot. They need to grab him or find a suitable trade if they know he will be at their spot.
All the draft prospects taht the Rockets have worked out for the first round pick. The possibility of someone dropping to us is likely because many names could go to many teams. Rudy Gay: Best possible pick for the rockets. If they pass on him, then someone needs to be fired. Brandon Roy: Hopefully he falls down to us and if Rudy isn't available draft him. Ronnie Brewer: The only gaurd at 6-8 who can basically play 1-3 positions well. He handled point gaurd duties at Arkansas and can be valuable to the team. Rodney Carney: can be very athletic and score on the side. Tmac likes him. Shelden Williams: Shut down of the paint but will that transfer to the NBA level. We will see. Marcus Williams: most intelligent player in this draft and the only thing that stops him from being a good nba player is his personal life. Randy Foye: a little short, but can score in bunches and take over a game with ease. Rajon Rondo: After williams, he is the best point gaurd for this team because he is not shot-happy and is lightning fast. JJ redick: Exactly what we need on offense, but not what we need on defense. SAy no to redick and hopefully he falls to a team that is as good as the rockets talent wise.
I am very low on Brandon Roy i remember the kind of hype another player like him was drafted and his name was reece gaines. He is exactly like him does nothing spectacular but nothing horrible at the college level. If you have nothing that stands out at the college level that means everything you do will be below average in the pro level. I do not feel he will succeed in the nba game and he is not the lock down defender many envision him to be though i believe he could become a solid shooter. I really hope we do everything in our power to try to get Carney or Gay because thats who can really help us right now atheletes who can shoot the ball. I really hope Rondo falls to us at the 32 and it is possible since he is skipping out on the Orlando Pre Draft camp so yeah. Rondo has the potential to be a point guard at the level similar to what TJ ford is and he is very much like TJ ford. But right now i am extrememly down on Brandon Roy.
I say we get get Randy Foye. This guy is athletic. great mid range and three point shooter. He also has great defense. he averaged 20 points and 5 rebounds. he is pretty good. Mock drafts are saying he'll slip down to 10-12. So i say we try to trade down to 10-12 or stay at 8th. and try to get this guy. he's pretty good
Problem is we already have the same kind of player as him in Luther Head. True Luther Head is not as strong as him or not as much a polished scoerer but head will improve and could be the exact same type of player as he is. I would Like to see us get gay or carney
