Noticed no game thread, so here is one just make things organized. (Merge this into the an official one if it comes one comes along). I think the Raptors are going to have a hard time containing Paul Pierce if he comes out as hot as he's been. Also Delonte West has been playing some really good ball lately so we are going to have our work cut out for us. Anyway I don't think it will be a blow out by either team, but a very game competitive!
Does mike james really need to take over the offense with 3 minutes left ?? He was doing a good job turning the corner and passing the ball until then.
-The fourth quarter is Mike James' kryptonite. -Eric Williams should not be played anymore, even with our weak bench. Did anybody else see how he didn't even return Bosh's high 5, when he got to the free throw line? And then he didn't even box out on the boards: he just started running back. Right now, Eric's just going through the motions. -That Celtics' pressure on D at the end was killing us. Can you imagine if they had played with that intensity a little earlier? -Boston outscored us like 50-16 from points in the paint? -MoPete kept us in the game. He matched Pierce on the offensive end. -All in all, it was a pretty ugly game. I saw barely any sign of D.

Anyways, I was looking at the boxscore and I hope there's a typo cuz it says MoPete played the FULL 48 minutes, even though he played 49 minutes the night before..... Bosh too played some heavy minutes w/ 49 today and 46 yesterday. If this trend continues then I'd be surprised if they're still alive after wednesday (when our next back-to-back ends)... Please Colangelo, get us a bench cuz we're killing our starters out there!
-Mo Pete was amazing, nuff said. Defensive end too he kept paul piece in check to the best of his ability along with a great offensive showing. -We should look for CV on offense more, the guy always manages to create something when we get him the ball. I do wish that he'd cut to the basket more instead of camping the corner pocket though...
The more i see Villanueva camped in the corner, they more he reminds me of Donyell Marshall with athleticism.
^Except his shot is nowhere near as consistent. I hope he either develops a better 3 point shot or stops camping in that corner.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Chutney:</div><div class="quote_post">^Except his shot is nowhere near as consistent. For his 1st 11 season he shot under 40%. It wasn't until his FINAL year in Toronto that he became a scary 3pt shooter. Infact this year, though Donyell has taken about twice as many 3s, Charlie V has a higher 3pt %. Donyell 99-313 Charlie V 45-135
Don't get me wrong - it's good that he can shoot the 3. I'd rather see him take the ball to the basket though.
^ Yea, thats the point I wanted to make. I don't want him to develop into a player like Donyell, just because he has the potential to be much more versatile.
^^couldnt agree with you guys more! i hate how he's getting the nickname "big smooth". id rather he be a big man that can bang...low post game, grab boards, AND that can ALSO step out and hit the 3. not the other way around.
His rebounding has improved a lot over the past couple of weeks. His D needs work, but I'm excited for the future with a Villanueva/Bosh combo.

I just think it could easily be misinterpreted to relate to his alopecia condition (unless that was the initial reasoning for the nickname, which in that case, would be just be plain wrong).
