Delonte strained his groin in the first half of the Raptors game. There isn't really any relevant news beyond that he is out for the rest of the game. He's done very well not getting hurt this year, so here's hoping he's back for the game against the Wizards on Tuesday.

how was Big Al looking out there, I know he dropped 13 points, but, did he look like he is starting to move better, or, is he still imping around?

    Apparently

the strained groin had been bothering Delonte for awhile. That makes me think that won't be available for the Wizards game. We'll see how it goes.

    Al

He didn't limp quite as much. I believe that the limping partly depends on whether he enters the game warm or not. It seems to be worse when he's been sitting for awhile.

He's getting up and down the floor better, and he can elevate, but not quite to the level that we are used to. He's not quite the threat on the break that he had been in the past. His quickness has also improved. Sooner or later he's going to be great.

IF he can continue to improve and just PLAY without getting hurt and missing time. It seems everytime he takes a step forward he gets hurt and takes a step back. He's still not much better than he was when he first started showing that he had potential.

    Well of course...

No one can be great if they're hurt. I'm not sure we'll really know anything until next year anyway. But with an offseason of weight training, and hopefully some defensive tutoring, he'll be a force. I'm frustrated by his lack of relevant production as much as anybody, but he's still two years younger than than Gomes. And there's still no young player out there who can score in the post like Al, and that's the part of his game that I'm basing my hopefulness on.

Al needs to spend the entire off-season eating less and working out more...
I wanna see some muscle definition in his arms and shoulders...

As to Delonte...he will be back next game...he is a warrior
