Fitch has not played since being acquired from Miami for Derek Anderson, primarily to rid the Rockets of their obligation to the second year of Anderson's contract. "We think this gives Gerald a good opportunity to get some valuable playing time and continue working on his game," Rockets general manager Carroll Dawson said.</div> source not really big news..
that is lame. He got a contract played well, and now they send him back down for a crappy player they signed. sounds dumb to me
In my opinion, Fitch is worth playing over Brunson. Although Brunson is a bit more experienced, from what I've seen (not too much), Fitch is a very capable guard and brings nice defense, quickness, and athleticism to the team. If Houston can give him enough experience, I'm sure he'll serve as a solid backup point guard in time. Brunson on the other hand, I can't really see a future with us.
Well, if we're talking about the future, then maybe the D League is the best place for Fitch to go. He won't get a lot of minutes even if he gets Brunson's, and the D League can give the Rockets a chance to really evaluate him and see if he is the right player for the future.

I'd still rather he play against better guards and get acquainted with Van Gundy's system rather than just test out his skills in the NBDL. We already know what he can do from college and the Heat so its not like he's just some raw player from high school.
I agree with AznxBaller, Fitch > Brunson if Fitch goes there Brunson should too...Still don't know what the point of getting him was *sigh*
Yeah, remember last summer, JVG said he will probably send Luther Head to the NBDL? Look where he is now, a solid role player who will hit 3's and is a decent passer.
well, CF now reports that Fitch has just been waived since he wasn't shooting too well in the D-league. we really got nothing for Anderson.
