<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Sixers were a truly disappointed bunch on Sunday after basically giving a game away in a tough loss to the Pacers that during a nightmare stretch in the last have minute that included: 1) not getting a shot off during 24 seconds, 2) immediately giving up a clear path lay-up to Stephen Jackson, and 3) seeing Chris Webber throw up a long shot that appeared to never have a chance, while at the same time, superstar Allan Iverson never touched the ball on the last play. Time to move on for the Sixers (30-29) though as they have gotten a couple of days of needed practice after still nice five wins in a key seven game stretch. Moreover, with struggling New Jersey (32-27) losing badly to Sacramento (84-109) last night the Sixers are just 2 games back in the Atlantic Division with 23 games back. Recall that for much of the season the Sixers have been 4-6 games back, so there has to be some optimism there. With Iverson deservedly winning the Eastern Conference's Player of the Week honors just days after being snubbed for Team USA, Chris Webber stepping up most of the time, and Andre Iguodala still shooting well over 50% for the year (0.518) the Sixers could be tough down the stretch for anyone in the East (excepting perhaps the formidable Pistons and surging Heat). Working against their chances to catch the Nets though is the fact that they have three more road games and have been poor most of the season away from the Wachovia Center with an 11-17 record. However, the Sixers who now sit in the 7th spot are not ready to give up on the chase. </div> link: http://www.hoopsworld.com/article_16438.shtml
