<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">It?s hard to believe that an All-Star break can really help a team turn around a season. Just getting away for a weekend isn?t a guaranteed solution to any problems an organization might be having. Yet, for the Philadelphia 76ers, the All-Star break seems to have been exactly what they needed.

The Sixers had their shares of ups and downs in the first half of the season. They had some great wins in the first half over some of the top tier teams. Yet, at the same time, they struggled in tough losses to teams that many believed they should have beaten.

Returning from the All-Star break, the 76ers have not only been playing better basketball, they have also been given a chance to exact revenge on certain teams that handed them some of those tough losses earlier in the season. Numerous times the Sixers have expressed the fact that revenge has not been a driving factor in their recent games, but no matter what their inspiration, revenge has been delivered nonetheless. Below is a list of those teams and an explanation of how the Sixers got their revenge.

    Cleveland:

On Nov. 19, the Sixers played the Cavs and led the entire game before the Cavs took their first lead with 3:36 remaining. The Sixers were still able to hold a two-point advantage with 1:48 left in the game, but LeBron James took over and made two driving layups in the final 65 seconds as the Cleveland Cavaliers rallied for a 123-120 victory.

When Chris Webber was asked how he viewed the game he responded, ?It depends on how you are looking at it. If you are looking at moral victories and all you can say with time (we will get these wins). But right now you don?t look at it this way. We were in a position where we really could have won.?

But as the season wore on, the Sixers became more accustomed to actually winning those games.

Every team in the league is on a mission... it just a matter of whether they accomplish their goal or not. This team still has a long way to go...
