Keys To The Game

Execution Down The Stretch - The Sixers are coming off a very tough loss to the Pacers. This will be a game that tells us whether that 5-2 run was a fluke or not. They need to forget the loss and move on. We only have 23 more games left, 1.5 GB of the Nets. We must beat teams we need to beat, and move up to the upper echelon of the Eastern Conference.

Stop Paul Pierce - Paul Pierce has been on fire as of laetly, averaging 34.1 points in the last 13 games. Andre Iguodala will have to play sticky defense in order for the Sixers to have a chance to win this game.

Rebound - The Sixers have been murdered the past few games in the rebounding category. Against this Celtics team, we must dominate this cateogry. They're one of the worst teams in the league in rebounding(39.7).

This should be a very entertaining one as two of the hotter teams in the Eastern Conference go at it for playoff spots. This game will probably be won in the first quarter. The Sixers know and realize this is the most important part of the season, but they need to execute and perform. Last game was sort of a let down, they must not let that happen again. In my opinion, the next few games will be a surge or break for the Sixers.

    Predictions:

    Sixers: 105 Celtics: 97

Big game tonight... if we win, we'll be in sole possession of 6th place in the East. The Wizards, Pacers and Nets all lost last night, so the race for playoff positioning is really tight.

When you take all that into account, I think the prediction is rather easy:

    We'll lose.

i think the celtics will get blown out tonight. i would look for korver and igoudala to have pretty big games. maybe dalembert too if he finally starts.

yeah, i dont think this team will come out with the win today. after being beat by 1 by the pacers, i think they will come out with their heads down, and will have a lack of confidence. i hope im wrong though

We are realistic Philly fans. It's amazing how people can continue to feel that the Sixers are improving... when they are not! They have so many weaknesses and flaws!

It's simple. We suck. Our roster isn't all that special, and we keep doing the same things night in and night out.

We choked tonight, just like we have been choking down the stretch the entire season. Certain players just don't know their role (Salmons).

This team is so frustrating, and until they show me they improve their play over a extended period of time, and show me that they are consistent (none of this win 3, lose 3 crap), I'll keep saying that they suck.

Typical, they surprise us and actually have a lead in the fourth. The last time I checked they had a 7 point lead with one or two minutes left. How in the hell do you lose this game by three then?

Another Philly meltdown. I am really tired of this team.

yep. same with me. at times i actually wish i saw the loss to see exactly how in the world they give up leads like this. i am pissed, and the reason for the loss was basically because of our bench, which once again had absolutely no production what so ever. im pissed.

Johnny Salmons is the reason we gave up the lead...

Travels one possession. Tony Allen strips the ball from him on another possession. Then he decides to be Allen Iverson and try to close the game out himself, and bricks the shot.

    Plus poor defense.

    The usual...

yep. i saw that on sports center. he was trying to be AI and tony came from the back and stripped him. seriously. the sixers are the only team that can ever give up leads like this. whats the most frustrating is that they have been doing this for the last couple of seasons
