Keys To The Game

Box Out And Bound: The Wizards big men need to learn to box out effectively and secure that rebound. They've let key rebounds get loose in which Boston were able to take advantage of and get easy points. The Wizards go against the best rebounding team in the NBA, they've got to make an effort to box out.

Road Game: They go against a Miami team, winners of 9 straight at their homecourt. They need to get this game out their minds and prepare to play against Miami if they want a shot at this game....and to avoid facing them in the playoffs at the 7th seed.

Help Side Defense: Yeah, it's obvious that Jamison can't cover down-low and they're going against Shaq, Zo, and Haslem. They've got to stop them down-low and force them to kick it back out. They easily could've gotten a win against Pierce and his Celtics, but they didn't do the little things they needed.

Control The Pace: Washington needs to control the pace of the game wether if they are trying to stay in it or if they have a sizeable lead. Dwyane Wade I think won't be playing in tommorow's game which maybe be easier for the Wizards now. They let a 13 point lead go down in the 4th quarter because of turnovers and careless mistakes. This won't be easy since the game is less than 24 hours, but they have to do the best they can.

    Keys To The Game

Defend The Perimeter: The Wizards are deadly from the perimeter with any one of the backcourt and Jamison able to shoot the three when the Wizards need it. Without the presence of Wade, it's going to be important that they force them to take bad shots and just give them a frustrating night.

Feed The Frontcourt: The Wizards' frontcourt are very inconsistant downlow when playing defense and it isn't that hard to take advantage of Jamison's lack of defense. It's important that they find a productive way to score and they certainly didn't find it against the Bobcats when they luckily got away with a victory.

Win The Hustle Board: The Wizards are known for being active all game long rushing after loose balls and keeping the ball up after a missed basket. Miami has to stay alert where the ball is and make sure they don't fall asleep on either side of the court because Washington will take advantage of that.
