The Hornets will play their first game in New Orleans in six months. This game against the Lakers have major playoff implications for both teams. The Hornets have been in a funk and are on a current 3 game losing streak. Their offense has struggled in the last two games, including a total of ONLY 16 points in the 2nd half against the Clippers and only scoring 9 points in the 4th quarter against the Suns.

The Lakers have been improving and are coming off a split of their last two games against the Pistons and Spurs.

In the last meeting the Hornets embarrassed the Lakers and made several highlights at the expense of Von Wafer.

The Lakers have not forgotten about the game and will be out for revenge tonight. The Hornets will have a lot of energy from the emotional support of playing in New Orleans again.

If the Lakers win they will catch the Hornets in the standings and tie them for 7th spot in the playoff race.

Smush better learn to play some D against Chris Paul. If he doesn't expect a tight game. I think we can win this game, we beat Detroit and lost with respect against the Spurs. Bryant shouldn't settle for the mid-rangers, he should drive to the basket. I think we will win 117-110.

I hope the score is not in the 100's, because it means the Lakers aren't playing well defensively.

You're right, Smush Parker must contain Chris Paul. Smush needs to stop gambling for the steal and learn how to play solid heads up defense with his feet.

The Lakers hurt themselves in the last game by settling for jumpshots. It led to long rebounds and allowed the Hornets to go right into their fastbreak offense.

Lakers must pound the ball tonight and exploit the Hornets lack of size. Easy baskets will allow the Lakers more time to set their defense.

Smush must contain CP3, and we must get the ball down low. Chris has to hit his shots downlow. And Lamar has to attack aggressively and Kobe is...well no need to explain.

Kobe is so clutch. He's carrying us in this third quarter after horrible 3 quarters of ball.

Is he shooting Jumpers again? Seriously, that is starting to get annoying because it rubs off on his teammates and is VERY easy for the opposing team to defend. Anyhow, GREAT WIN!! [IMG] The Lakers have caught NO in the standings and can hopefully move ahead of them into the 7th spot for a little more security. With Memphis only a game or two ahead in 6th, the Lakers with a little luck could steal that as well...lets keep our fingers crossed.

    damn, what a great game.

Only caught some of the 3rd and all of 4th cause I had class, but Kobe was amazingly clutch in that 4th quarter.

Smush came through tonight, Lamar played AMAZING again.

I don't know if it's just me, but it seems like we've been saying Lamar has been playing great more and more lately, I think we're starting to see some consistency.

Huuuge win for the Lakers on the road, especially in NO, and to beat a team that we're chasing for the higher playoff spot.

Freaking Lamar playing at a high level right now, and Kobe 13 points in a row.... thats insane.

I'm really glad the Lakers held their composure and won this game. I thought Kobe Bryant shot them out of the game, but then shot them back into the game for the win. He was driving early to the rim, but wasn't getting a lot of calls. The officials were letting these teams play physical and Kobe got thrown off his game arguing for every call.

Lamar Odom was big in this game for the Lakers. He was going above the rim for rebounds and taking advantage of his smaller defender in the post.

I thought the coaching should have did a better job of disrupting David West's rhythm during the 3rd quarter. He was on fire, and just torching Brian Cook. The Lakers coaching staff should have ran some double teams at him to get the ball out of his hand and force him to make a decision with it. The one time they did run a double team David West threw the ball into the 4th row.

Sasha chipped in a nice 10 points off the bench on his birthday. I liked seeing him take it to the rim, instead of chucking up bricks like he normally does.

I predicted 117-110 to the Lakers, it turned out 113-107 to the Lakers. Huge game by Lamar even though he shot poorly. Smush Parker was impressive, even though he didn't contain Paul, he managed to shoot well and show his prescence on offense with 7 assists, 16 points and 5 steals. The best thing about this game is that even though Kobe and Lamar shot 38% combined, we still managed to get the victory with other players stepping up and making the shots. I'm not expecting anything against the Spurs tonight, but if we do win, I'm going to go out on a limb and say were going to make the playoffs.

Wow, Lamar is a monster. He knocked Shaq down, aswell as himself in the last game against the Heat. Hopefully he can continue playing the way he's playing. This season, I've had alot faith in him. I wouldn't want to trade him if he performs to the level he's been playing consistantly.
