<div class="quote_poster">Quoting KayJayNZ:</div><div class="quote_post">My bad, that seemed to be pretty ugly at the end but the Rox hold on for a 103-99 win. Yao with another monster game, 38 & 10. </div> I knew it, but not really surprised and dont forget that Yao had 5 blocks.
aarrrghhh if only this team could play well earlier then they won't be plating catchup for the whole damn game. Seriously watching Rockets games is giving me heart attacks, We cannot be playing like this against teams like San Antonio and Dallas.
They use to give up leads, now they come from behind to win. Great effort by the entire team. Nice job by the rest of the team to close the gap as Yao was on the bench. One suggestion, Rockets need to run many lay-up drills, and practice their FT shooting. Another great game by Yao. I saw chunks of the game, and it seems like Yao was really aggressive in trying to get position, and he was basically wrestling with the Pacers players. He did not settled for fadeaways. I truly believe that Yao can average 30 ppg if he gets at least 20 shots a game. The last three games, he has gotten 20+ shots and they all resulted in 30+ points and a win. Hopefully JVG can draw up a gameplan where both Yao and Mcgrady get at least 20 shots. Hopefully this is not just a quick high before we fall back to Earth. I don't want to lose by renewed hope in the season by losing the next game to the Spurs. A good long rest before taht game, so I hope T-MAc is better by then. It is not his fault, but he is really unreliable.
Well obviously because they're related, but no one has ever questioned Tmacs work ethic in Houston. I would much rather have Tmac sit out the remainder of the week or the next few games. I'd rather have him healthy and no longer prone to reaggravating that injury than out there trying to shoulder the load.

Swift kept up an OK level type of consistency for three games! this means celebration <div class="quote_poster">Quoting whatever:</div><div class="quote_post">i didnt see tmac playing at all in the 4th quarter, did he hurt his back again?</div> yeah he strained it again around the 3rd q. I think he should rest for a while because he'd just be making it worse, but it sucks that our next games are going to be hard without him.
OMG... what a great game by Yao and the rest of the Rockets.... this is truly the team effort Houston lacked all season. But it's disturbing that back spasms has come back to haunt Tracy McGrady. Only if Tracy was still in the game, Yao could have gone up to 50 points. God damn! Did you guys see the end? The Pacers triple and quadruple team him.... and he still has 38. I can't wait until Sunday when we face San Antonio. Hopefully Tracy will be healthy and back to form for the rest of the season and the playoffs. Yao has officially become one of the elite players of the game! By the time he retires, he will redefine the definition of greatness!
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting whatever:</div><div class="quote_post">i didnt see tmac playing at all in the 4th quarter, did he hurt his back again?</div> I'm really getting sick of him giving us false hope.........I wish he would just sit out, Everyone else is playing their heart out and he seems to always get hurt when we need him most. Either suck it up and play or just sit out, we've been playing better defense with him out anyways.

Swift Watch: I only saw parts of the game, so I did not get a very good idea of how Swift did. But I did see him in the post position twice when someone was shooting FT's. One of the time he was his usually statue after the FT, but in the other instance, Swift did high five the shooter, only because Bogans initiated the action. This was a little ironic because I noticed that Bogans does not high five either. He high fives when he is the shooter, but he is a statue just like Swift when he is in the rebounding position. Maybe I should start a Bogans watch. Swift did have a nice dunk and block in the final minute.
Don't let Swift 6 points fool you. He was very effective in the fourth quarter. He blocked a nice shot in the last minute. He's getting better. evolidiot: <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Maybe I should start a Bogans watch. </div> Yeah, I think you should. Bogans has been critical every time Tracy gone MIA. He's actually more reliable than T-Mac is right now.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting d d g:</div><div class="quote_post"> Yeah, I think you should. Bogans has been critical every time Tracy gone MIA. He's actually more reliable than T-Mac is right now.</div> Bogans is a player I really like, and I think he can develop into a very good player for the Rockets. There are some bad plays by him that stick in my mind. Like in the last game where he missed a wide open lay-up. That botched play made me, a 5-8 midget, think I could play in the NBA. And in this game, he made his FT's at the end, but when the Rockets were making trying to catch up in the 3rd, he missed two consecutive FT's. Like Swift, Bogans has some flaws, but I think he'll become a fine player for the Rockets in the future. What do people think about starting Bogans, and bringing T-Mac off the bench until he fully heals, if thats possible. The Rockets are undefeated, albeit it is only two games, when Bogans start in place of Mac. I say limit T-Mac's minutes even if he says he feels better. To relieve some pressure off the old man, JVG should only bring him in for short stretches, like in the last minute games. At this point, Bogans does a better job of getting to the line. Tonight he took 11 FT's. The last time Mcgardy had at least 10 FT was all the way back on Feb. 1. These last few games have shown that the Rockets can win games against marginal teams without T-Mac. Aginast the Spurs and the rest of the upper-tier teams, they'll need T-Mac's presence, even if it's in a limited role.
Another come from behind win by the Rockets. It's nice to see them playing hard on the defense and having confidence on pressure situations with the exception of their 3 consecutive turnovers that could have given them breather down the stretch. Great game by Yao. He could be an MVP candidate next season. Bogans should be resigned in the offseason. He's a restricted free agent so the Rockets can match what other team offers. If he continues to play well and the Rockets get into the playoffs his price tag would be much higher. I just hope the Rockets have a budget to afford him because we badly need a shooting guard with height and athleticism.
k i will be the most optimistic dude around here. Yao score 40 and 15 rebounds and we beat Spurs. To win the next game, the three point shots have to be good.

If he sits out he needs to "suck it up" and just play. LMAO, I swear you can NEVER satisfy some fans
evolidiot, I don't think it's possible that we will even consider benching McGrady. None of the top-flight players in the league can stand an "embarassment" like that, and I'm sure McGrady would rather sit out than not start. To get Bogans more minutes though, we could bring Wesley off the bench. His play has really suffered since his hamstring injury. He's a warrior, but his woeful shooting right now doesn't really merit any starter minutes. Bogans has proven that he is worthy of starting, and having a 6-5 shooting guard can give us some mismatches offensively. What a game by Yao, he should be Player of the Week again if he does this well against Dallas.
I understand the false hope thing, but thats only when he's out. If he's OK to play OF COURSE it is better to have him in the game as long as he can be effective. The last two times he went out, he didn't wait to long, he was able to walk off the court so they are going to be careful with TMac. K.Bogans is providing good consistent numbers, he couldn't be playing any better for the Rockets. He finishes at the basket strong. Swift looks like he wants more minutes and has finally had a positive impact on a couple games. Check out Skip's numbers. 14ast 2blk. He's been turning the ball over more lately. Yao is killing people right now. I want to see in these next couple games against good teams if he has gained any respect from the officials in how they called continuous fouls on him early in the year.
