At the half: 12 turnovers (4 for them), 1 steal (9 for them), only 3 free throws (17 for them). Amazingly, we're 1 point up at the half. If we can cut down on turnovers and get to the line we should spank this team, but if we play like we did in the first half, sooner or later it'll catch up with us.
Two minutes into the third quarter and we've already added 2 more turnovers to the list, whilst we've let them score a massive 10 points. Gone from 1 up to 7 down in 2 minutes.
3/4 time. 10 down 16 turnovers (to 5 for them) 1 steal (to 10) 5 free throws (to 25) Interesting to see if we really want this game in the last quarter or whether we'll just go through the motions.
We've started the last quarter well, aside from Dahntay Jones managing to collect 3 fouls in 11 seconds. Oh and to add to the shameful stats, we've given up 17 offensive rebounds, including two efforts where we gave up three consecutive rebounds. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.
Only 3 points down, despite all the offensive rebounds given up, all the turnovers and the lack of free throws. Amazing.
Finally the misery is over. The tale of woe: * 18 turnovers (to Sacramento's 8) * 3 steals (to Sacramento's 11) * 14 freethrows (to Sacramento's 37) * 10 offensive boards (to Sacramento's 20)
Wow, thanks for the game flow... I was too busy with college basketball (my first love) to pay attention to the Grizzlies, but looking at the boxscore, it looks like another typical night for Chucky Atkins: sixeen shots, only made five. Why is Atkins always taking the most or second most shots on the team? And Miller off the bench? The turnover's don't worry me too much though, because we haven't consistently had a problem with them.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Voodoo Child:</div><div class="quote_post">Wow, thanks for the game flow... </div> I get so frustrated and short of punching a wall, this is my only outlet. Halfway through the first quarter today we've already given up 6 offensive rebounds and committed 5 turnovers. Thank god Philly haven't hit their shots as yet. Sadly it's already following the trend of the Sacramento game though.
So far today it's the same old rubbish. After 1 quarter: * 8 turnovers * 1 steal * Given up 6 offensive rebounds * Opposition getting to the line 10 times, to our 1.
We at least improved our rebounding in that quarter, turnovers are still a massive problem (up to 12 now) as is our inability to get to the line. 6 down at home to Philly. I'm off for some breakfast and a strong coffee, hopefully i come back to a good result.
