Sometimes i think Stern pays off the refs to make the games go longer in the playoffs. I've seen some bad calls that decided games in the playoffs making the series go another game or two
There was an absolute shcoker over in Australia last year. The Melbourne Tigers were playing in Adelaide and were down by a point or two in the last possession. Rahad Tucker turned around and the Adelaide player took a HUGE dive and a charge was called when the players were clearly nowhere near each other, so Adelaide got the win. And this is one of the top rivalries in the comp. Do Americans refer to "hometown calls" where the refs appear to be favoring the home team?
There's a lot so I'm just gonna post 1 that gets on my nerves. The "make up call". You can't correct a wrong with a wrong. Refs just made 2 mistakes with it.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Chutney:</div><div class="quote_post">The one that comes to mind right away is Steve Javy's technical on Mo-Pete after he just playfully slapped Vince Carter back. Even after he realized what had happened, he stuck to his mistake and the Raps really missed Peterson's defense down the stretch. I really hate when an official waits to see whether the shot goes down or not, when calling a foul.</div> I was SO pissed off at that call. Ever wonder why Vince popped off after MoPete left - Mo was the only one who could defend VC. And Vince ended up making the game-winning shot and his reputation as a Raptor Killer remains. Ah well, at least he's making Raptors fans/VC haters eat their words.
Magic @ Jazz. They called an off the ball foul on DeShawn Stevenson when he tried to get the foul on AK47 for a 3. TERRIBLE CALL. Also Williams pushed Arroyo out of bounds and they said that it was just out of bounds on Williams. I was like wtf!?
Anything were Kobe Bryant shoots. He can get the three point fadeaway touch foul, but J-Rich gets attacked by Mihm and Kwame with two karate chops to the head and the refs go blind.

I can still remember the 19-1 FT differential in the fourth quarter of a come from behind Lakers victory over the Warriors.

I haven't seen Kobe getting to the line much since the all star break. Explain it to me? I'll show you clear clips of Kobe being hacked up with no calls too. This has been ongoing. Dont know if you've been watching the Laker games lately. Kobe has not been getting to the charity stripe.

If anyone saw the Knicks vs the Pistons this year when the Knicks won, on the last possession Antonio McDyess took an jumper by the wing and Malik Rose jumped at him and literally DID NOT EVEN TOUCH HIM he swiped his hand past his forearm and did not even touch him and they called a foul. That was horrible and if McDyess made both they would've tied but he missed both. But wow he didn't even touch him. Pistons fans probably know what Im talking about and Knicks fans probably do.

Sucks the refs in every time.</div> <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Tha CTown Knick:</div><div class="quote_post"> If anyone saw the Knicks vs the Pistons this year when the Knicks won, on the last possession Antonio McDyess took an jumper by the wing and Malik Rose jumped at him and literally DID NOT EVEN TOUCH HIM he swiped his hand past his forearm and did not even touch him and they called a foul. And I hate make up calls, but when you have Yao on your team and the officials calling the most horrindous calls on him, you begin to like them more and more.
well, in the beginning of the year chris mihm had a lot of phantom calls. i swore it pissed me off so much. most of the time he would just be standing next to the guy and bam! thats a foul!
